General

  • Peaceful adults-only touring park in rural North Yorkshire
  • A 15-minute drive from central York; bus stop just outside
  • Woodland walk from the site to local village and tearooms

The Bungalow Caravan Site is a quiet adults-only North Yorkshire site surrounded by open countryside and yet a mere 15 minutes’ drive from the centre of York.

This handy spot makes it a cinch to get out and explore the local area, whether you’re aiming to take city days, visit market towns and villages or wander through countryside. Getting out and about is easy even if you don’t fancy the drive: there are woodland walks to be had right by the site, and there’s a bus stop just outside where you can flag down a ride into town.

Touring pitches here are all kitted out for all-season use and each has access to a 16-amp hookup (there are no toilets or showers though, so you’ll need to be self-sufficient on that front). Dogs are welcome on site, but they’ll need to be kept on a lead at all time.

To get out and about, there’s fishing available less than half a mile away, and horse riding two miles away; you could also head up to Naburn Marina (three miles), where there’s boat hire and a café. If it’s more eats you’ve got in mind, take the woodland walk to Moreby village and its tearooms, or grab friendly owners Graham and Lin for recommendations of their favourite local pubs and restaurants.

Truly Lovely, if only all sites were as welcoming. Beautifully clean and organised. Level pitches and a pretty rural setting. Good access to York and Selby. We loved our short break here and would go back.

Immaculate small site maybe the best I have been on for it's size only 10 pitches. Will return to this one for sure .A little unknown Gem.

Everything, from been greeted on arrival by both Graham and Lin, (what a lovely friendly couple they are) shown to the choice of pitch, and where all the facilities where. Once pitched to be given a couple of home made scones by Lin what a lovely gesture, nice touch don't change that. Can highly recommend

Graham and Lin met us on arrival, showed us to our pitch and explained the amenities on the site. When we had gotten pitched Lin arrived bringing us warm scones to have with our cuppa. Both Lin and Graham were really friendly and helpful. The site was maintained to an exceptionally high level, Lin cleaned all water points etc down several times a day.
