What customers say
This is a peaceful, spacious campsite with large, level pitches, many featuring water and electric hook-ups. The facilities, including individual shower/toilet cubicles, are generally reported as clean and well-maintained. Its excellent location offers easy access to York via park-and-ride or a short taxi journey. Staff are frequently praised for being friendly and helpful. Some guests noted road noise, unheated shower blocks, and a lack of Wi-Fi, but overall feedback is very positive, with many guests planning return visits.

Chosen because of the proximity to York Stadium
Electric hardstanding touring pitch
Liked The security is great with a number activated barrier just off the road. This is the start of the longest access we’ve come across in many years of camping and caravans
The initial information provided was great we had the access code and our pitch number but we were still met by Kate who was so helpful and very welcoming.
The pitches are all flat and spacious and we had our own water supply
Four shower cubicles which also had a toilet and sink plus a more spacious easy access one for women and the same for men
A nice laundry room which also had lots of useful information provided.
Proximity to the York stadium and the city of York
Disliked The showers were basic and looked to have been in for a number of years so perhaps need an upgrade
If every pitch had been occupied I doubt we would gave been able to use the facilities
Also quite noisy from the nearby road and several late arrivals and early leavers
No shop within walking distance (nearest we found was Asda at Monks Cross approximately 40 mins walk but quick if you rrove

Great place to stay
Electric hardstanding touring pitch
Liked We've stayed here a few times now, usually during the week when it's a bit quieter. Weekends are busier but we find people still respectful and it's still a quiet site.
Laundry (paid) 1 washer and dryer available.
Separate shower blocks for men and women. Only had to wait a few mins once for a shower, it was just bad timing because when I came out all 4 women's showers we're available.
Spacious gravel pitches with plenty of grass around.
Water and electric on pitch.
Plenty of bins, drive over waste water drop and chemical disposal.
Walking distance to a bus stop to get you into York. Taxis are really cheap into the city too.
Communication is good beforehand and throughout
Christine has greeted us the last couple of times and is friendly.
We'll be staying again when in the area.
Disliked Nothing

From the manager: Hi Paul.
Thank you for taking the time to write a review and we are sorry to hear that you did not like the site.
We appreciate all reviews, both positive and negative but we do feel that your review of the site as 1/10 is very disappointing.
Looking at other sites in the area price wise we are below some and slightly above others but they do not always include electric in the shown prices.
Every site is different as is everyone's expectations and we hope that you find a site that is more suited to your requirements.
Highly recommend
