Non-electric grass touring pitch
Liked Friendly check in staff and super close to Whitby itself. Great view of the abbey! Perfect if you’re a self contained van or motorhome. Basically just a field and you could choose where to park. They did say there was a toilet block but we didn’t use it. There were chemical loo emptying points and plenty of big bins for your rubbish.
Disliked £25 for a site with no EHU is on the pricier side but the location balances it out.

If you like windy flat fields with no permanent facilities…
Non-electric grass touring pitch
Liked The view. Cheap. The person greeted us at the gate needs a raise. It’s within walking distance of Whitby, but beware the two hundred steps.
Disliked Clearly insufficient facilities for the amount of campers, and when I say facilities I use that term in the loosest possible sense - there are two portaloos on a massive camping field, catering for hundreds of campers. Woefully inadequate. It’s like wild camping without the wild. It’s also noisy, the commotion didn’t seem to stop all night.
