What customers say
This secluded campsite offers peaceful, private pitches nestled amongst trees, with many featuring individual water taps and fire pits. Guests praise the natural surroundings, proximity to the estuary and beach, abundant wildlife, and the relaxed, "wild camping" feel. Facilities are generally clean and well-maintained, with staff described as friendly and helpful. Some minor points noted include the ground being hard for pegs and occasional issues with composting toilets. Overall, it's highly recommended for a tranquil escape.

Non-electric grass and earth tent pitch (woodland)
Liked Gorgeous site, views over the Stour, private little nook among the trees and we could have been near a Canadian lake or somewhere in Austria for all we knew, rather than 10 miles from our house. 20 minute walk to the pub, gorgeous sunsets, deer, hares and gangs of sand martins zooming about. Private water tap per pitch is a game changer. We will be returning many many times.
Disliked Ground is very hard, layer of gravel just below the surface, bring a proper hammer and hardcore pegs. Horseflies that are very aggressive and very hungry, so load up on citronella candles, keep the fire lit and slightly smokey, cover yourself in every spray and lotion you can get your hands on! Or bring your own personal army of drangonflies.
