What customers say
Nether Hall Farm offers a peaceful, 'nearly wild' camping experience with private, roomy spots tucked away in trees. Campers love the natural beauty, beach access, and handy features like personal water taps and fire pits. Toilets are compost, showers are hot and clean. While most rave about the quiet and privacy, some found the ground a bit rough and advised bringing strong pegs. It’s a top pick for a relaxing nature getaway.

A lovely cosy campsite, well thought out with amazing views.
Badger Sett unpowered grass and earth tent site (premium, water view)
Liked Stunning location, tap and picnic table extremely useful, owner easy to contact and quick to respond. Coastline on the doorstep is remote and beautiful, the tidal river water is clear on entry and feels warmer than the open sea. Parking, toilets, rubbish provisions all excellent, the drive in past a lovely farm is welcoming and lots of wildlife to be encountered. The local pub is a 15min walk away and has excellent ratings although we didn't eat there as we took our camping stoves and made the most of the tap and table to enjoy meals together on site.
Disliked Some regular aircraft noise overhead which surprised us as we read nothing in reviews about this? Could have been some one off training perhaps. Just made a note to bring earplugs next time so not enough to put us off coming back but despite it's remote location depending on wind especially as it's an exposed site the possibility for noise from air, and also the Felixstowe Docks is there. This is out of the sites control but mentioning incase it helps others get a better sleep.

The best camping I have visited.…
Unpowered grass and earth tent site (woodland)
Liked The best camping I have visited. Very quiet place. They have all what you need for rest. Every pitch surrounded by trees, that makes you feel comfortable. Wooden tables and fireplaces for cosy evening. Close to the campsite river, where you can launch the paddle board or kayak, or even fishing.

Lovely site but exploited by guests as no staff on site or monitored
Unpowered grass and earth tent site (woodland)
Liked Site Location ,access to beach, pitch lay outs and facilities are excellent
Disliked Noise for groups and families till midnight and beyond.
1 pitch contained a 6man group with 3 tents, music playing
2 other pitches contained large groups of parents and children, certainly not of the same immediate family
15 cars to car park shows the amount clealy exeeded.

From the manager: Thank you for your kind comments about the site, our facilities and the pitch layout. We’re really pleased you enjoyed the location and surroundings.
We are aware of the incident you have referred to and are sorry that the noise affected your stay. Unfortunately, we weren’t contacted about the disturbance at the time and can’t be on site all the time. Had we been made aware, we would have dealt with it straight away, as we do expect all guests to respect our quiet hours and fellow campers.

I would definitely come here again
Unpowered grass and earth tent site (woodland)
Liked It was a really nice location being in the woods near the sea. It was also really good value at only £30 a night per pitch. Easy hassle free arrival.
Disliked It was a bit annoying to get to as there is quite a long gravel off-road track you have to go on to get there

Badger Sett unpowered grass and earth tent site (premium, water view)
Liked As usual had a great time, wonderful views from this pitch and the Sunsets were amazing, went fishing a few times from the shore and caught some small Bass which were all safey returned , every time we visit this site the wildlife changes, this time we saw large frocks of Canada geese flying over the Fields back to the river at dusk, two woodpeckers in trees next to us and the usual hares and deer that are in the fields in front of us and a young hare came and sat on our pitch most evenings, if you want to rewild yourself this is the site to visit,
Disliked Of course NONE

Liked Clean toilet and shower facilities, easy access to water. Very secluded and peaceful, convenient access to the river. Although you can’t park next to your pitch, wheelbarrows are provided to help haul your tent etc.
