What customers say
This quiet, private campsite's secluded, tree-lined spots have individual taps & fire pits. Guests love the nature, estuary/beach access, wildlife & "wild camping" vibe. Facilities are clean, staff helpful. Ground can be tough for pegs, compost toilets occasionally tricky. Great for a chill escape.

Easy walking distance to the beach which had beautiful clear water.

Unpowered grass and earth tent site (woodland)
Liked Gorgeous site, views over the Stour, private little nook among the trees and we could have been near a Canadian lake or somewhere in Austria for all we knew, rather than 10 miles from our house. 20 minute walk to the pub, gorgeous sunsets, deer, hares and gangs of sand martins zooming about. Private water tap per pitch is a game changer. We will be returning many many times.
Disliked Ground is very hard, layer of gravel just below the surface, bring a proper hammer and hardcore pegs. Horseflies that are very aggressive and very hungry, so load up on citronella candles, keep the fire lit and slightly smokey, cover yourself in every spray and lotion you can get your hands on! Or bring your own personal army of drangonflies.
