  • Quiet, well-maintained dog-friendly site a mile from the Norfolk coast
  • Half an hour's walk to a sandy beach; 25 minutes' drive to The Broads
  • Playground and picnic area on site; pubs and a shop a short walk away
From sandy shores and boating on The Broads to historic houses and dainty tearooms, Bellevue Quiet Site is in prime position for getting your chill mode on with the Norfolk coast one mile away, Norwich 20 minutes’ drive away and The Broads 25 minutes’ drive away. Those of you with junior travellers in tow shouldn’t have to worry too much about finding somewhere close by for kids to let off steam, as there’s a playground on site and a central family picnic area. As for off site, there’s plenty of play space down at the beach, whether you head to the closest bay half an hour’s walk away or seek out Sea Palling’s longer shoreline 15 minutes’ drive away. With well-maintained facilities, water and wifi (and pets welcome on site) you should find this a pretty convenient place to set down roots for a while. Handily, the site offers awning and pup tent facilities for no extra cost too. Already got a shopping list to tick off? That’s no problem here, as the site is 25 minutes’ walk away from the village shop, and there are bigger towns within five miles of the site. The site’s local pub is even closer, so you could have your hands wrapped around a drink after 10 minutes’ walk (or there are other pubs within walking distance of the site, down by the sea for those of you who fancy scoring yourselves some sea views).

Local attractions

Beach days a biggie for your holiday? You’ll be in the right place here, as Happisburgh beach (five minutes’ drive) and Sea Palling beach (15 minutes) are both a short drive away. They’re both sandy, by the way, so you might want to get your buckets and spades at the ready. Cromer (half an hour) is another for the fans of the seaside… this place has a beach too, but you might also find yourself crabbing off the pier or taking a trip to the theatre. Kids will likely enjoy this place, and the same can be said for the treehouse-themed playgrounds at BeWILDerwood Norfolk (15 minutes). Watersports aren't just a thing of the seaside, either: around The Broads (25 minutes) it’s all hands on deck, literally, for boating, canoeing and other watersports. After all that water, you may like to spend some time on dry land, and there’s a load of it around the parklands at the National Trust’s 17th-century Felbrigg Hall, Gardens & Estate (half an hour), a traditional English country house with walking trails. Blickling Estate (half an hour) is another stately place – and the birthplace of Anne Boleyn. There's more history at the East Ruston Old Vicarage Garden’s (five minutes) garden and tearooms too.

Electric gravel touring pitch

Liked: Level pitch. Small site.

Disliked: Lack of signage from finding the site and within site. Not quiet location, at a crossroads on a very busy road. No seclusion open to elements.
