Traditional village pub
Pitches up high so great views
Spacious serviced pitches
Pitches with rural views

  • Small site in the grounds of a Callow End traditional village pub
  • A 15-minute drive from the Malvern Hills and Worcester
  • Large beer garden with outdoor tables, play area and chickens
For those couples/travelling parties that frequently face disagreement over whose turn it is to be designated driver, there’s really only one sensible solution: bed down right there at the pub. Dozing off at the bar might be considered a little unseemly, so The Old Bush’s owners Matt and Karen have come up with a better solution and set up pitches in the garden area behind their rural Worcestershire pub. Thus guests can partake of dinners accompanied by a few local ales/ciders before strolling home (to a peaceful corner with drinking water, showers and 24-hour toilets) in just a couple of minutes – how civilised. In fact, the whole setup here is rather civilised: The Old Bush is a traditional country pub in the little village of Callow End, with food available at lunch and dinner times, plus a menu of mini meals for smaller guests. On warmer days the merriment spills out into the garden, where there’s a play area, an aviary and a little flock of chickens along with plenty of tables for open-air drinking, dining and admiring the views over the Malvern hills. Of course, one can’t sit around in the pub all day (well, maybe not every day, anyway…), so it’s worth noting that this is also a handy location for walks, horse riding, games of golf, fishing and days out in Worcester and Malvern (both 15 minutes away by car). Handily, if you do ‘accidentally’ sup one too many at lunchtime there’s a bus stop in the village so you can still get out and about.

Electric optional gravel motorhome pitch

Liked: We enjoyed the peace and quiet of the campsite. It was great being near to the pub. There is a nice beer garden and the pub does good food. Between the pub and the small camping area is a fabulous farm shop and cafe which served good value tasty food. Local produce sold in the shop, I had a yummy cream scone and my partner had a robust sausage roll and a pasty. The showers are the best we have ever used too!

Disliked: The only downside was the fact that there were only 2 toilets and only one was in use! It would be better to have separate male and female toilets and a perhaps a couple more.
Despite that there is a bus stop at the entrance of the site, there are no buses at all on a weekend or bank holiday! (Nothing to do with the proprietor, of course!)
