  • Small site in the grounds of a Callow End traditional village pub
  • A 15-minute drive from the Malvern Hills and Worcester
  • Large beer garden with outdoor tables, play area and chickens
For those couples/travelling parties that frequently face disagreement over whose turn it is to be designated driver, there’s really only one sensible solution: bed down right there at the pub. Dozing off at the bar might be considered a little unseemly, so The Old Bush’s owners Matt and Karen have come up with a better solution and set up pitches in the garden area behind their rural Worcestershire pub. Thus guests can partake of dinners accompanied by a few local ales/ciders before strolling home (to a peaceful corner with drinking water, showers and 24-hour toilets) in just a couple of minutes – how civilised. In fact, the whole setup here is rather civilised: The Old Bush is a traditional country pub in the little village of Callow End, with food available at lunch and dinner times, plus a menu of mini meals for smaller guests. On warmer days the merriment spills out into the garden, where there’s a play area, an aviary and a little flock of chickens along with plenty of tables for open-air drinking, dining and admiring the views over the Malvern hills. Of course, one can’t sit around in the pub all day (well, maybe not every day, anyway…), so it’s worth noting that this is also a handy location for walks, horse riding, games of golf, fishing and days out in Worcester and Malvern (both 15 minutes away by car). Handily, if you do ‘accidentally’ sup one too many at lunchtime there’s a bus stop in the village so you can still get out and about.

Disliked: quite a steep climb to the pitches . No dog walk

From the manager: I really do not understand your comment "no dog Walk" what are you trying to say? There is a footpath on site that you could walk footpaths to Malvern and back, how far did you want to walk? because you could probably walk foot paths to Ledbury too (30 mile round trip)? Sorry we did not offer a good site for you and so sorry you would not visit again.

Power optional gravel RV campsite

Liked: Great little pub and site. We are local and hired a camper van for a few nights to test it out. We only stayed 1 night here, but it is lovely. We had a tasty Sunday lunch in the pub after a walk in the area with our dog and a snack in the evening in the beer garden. The site has a brilliant shop / deli and cafe and we bought some cake there to take home. I would recommend this site.
