I could not take the holiday this time, but i have stayed at the site before & I liked the off grid camping and the provision of fire pits.

    Disliked:

Full payment at booking and no refund policy. I was unable to take the holiday. I emailed the site to explain but had no reply.

A lovely welcome from the host, explained everything and even gave us a map of the local area.
Nice and quiet, level, well kept.

    Disliked:

Still using the old shower block, the shower wasn't great, a bit cold, clean though.
There is a new Toilet block being built, once that's finished, it'll be perfect.

Well sited, good sized area, fire pits and the ground drained quickly when the rain stopped. Friendly owners easily available

    Disliked:

Other campers leaving lights on at night and using hair driers causing solar system to discharge meaning no hot water in the morning.

Timer lights and better signage would hopefully improve this.

Friendly staff, very welcoming. Very close to Alton Towers and set in a lovely countryside. The fire pit is great, but you will still need a barbecue if you want to cook food - we got a disposable one from the supermarket which was handy (although we forgot to raise it up from the grass, which scorched it a bit - sorry). Nice big open space for children to play in.

    Disliked:

    Only single shower.

Friendly owners and good space. 2 separate fields for Family and Adults.

    Disliked:

Shower facilities were poor - not hot and barely a trickle of water. They are in the process of building a new toilet block so hopefully that will improve.
