What customers say
This well-maintained, peaceful campsite is praised for its excellent location, particularly for Alton Towers visits, and stunning views. Visitors highlight the cleanliness of facilities, spacious pitches, and the friendly, welcoming staff. Children enjoy the alpacas and play park. A recurring minor point is the short duration of the push-button showers, with some also noting the water temperature and lack of height adjustability. Wi-Fi can be unreliable.

Electric grass tent pitch
Liked Spacious pitches and really quiet.. seems to attract sensible people. Very warm washrooms. and shower water which was nice. Beautiful walking paths in every direction right from the site,. and a five minute drive or 45 minutes walk to a fabulous farm shop / market hall in Denstone. Friendly staff. Nice little. playground.
Disliked Had to wait occasionally for toilets as there were only two per gender.

Very laid back and friendly staff…
Electric hardstanding and grass pitch (super)
Liked Very laid back and friendly staff walking distance to Alton and the pubs, however you take your own life into your hands when navigating the road, very busy and fast. Needs pavement really but it’s a rural area there is footpaths but we didn’t try as it had been heavily raining and didn’t fancy a trek across muddy fields.

Excellent site: huge pitches, clean showers/toilets & great location.
Electric hardstanding and grass pitch (super)
Liked Huge pitches with fences. Water and waste on pitch. Very clean toilet and shower block. Hosts were very accommodating and helpful. The site was so close to Alton towers which was a bonus for us with children but also felt like it was in the middle of nowhere when you’re on site. It was a lovely peaceful site and we highly recommend.
Disliked Nothing.

Disliked Maybe the location is easily impacted by strong wind. We were unluckily that could not sleep under strong wind.

Electric hardstanding and grass pitch (super)
Liked Great stay! The site is incredibly clean and peaceful with stunning views of the surrounding countryside. We loved that each pitch has its own dedicated space, providing excellent privacy. It was a fantastic experience, and we’ve already decided to book another holiday here soon. Highly recommended!
Disliked We had a wonderful time and really enjoyed the peace and the views. However, one minor issue was the layout of the electric hook-ups. It would be much better if every pitch had its own individual power point directly on-site; as it stands, my power cable was only just long enough to reach. Just a heads-up for others to bring a long extension lead! Despite this, we still love the place and will be back.
