Liked: Absolutely loved it, we thought we would try this site as it's local and didn't want to travel to far . We were very shocked on how lovely it was and a lovely hidden local treasure to us . Very clean , quite site never even heard any dogs bark and it had plenty, lovely pitches and clean showers etc great walks just of site , lovely bit of history of mining pieces on your travels on the walks ,. Can't recommend enough even if your just going local or coming from further away as it's got great places to visit also nearby.

Disliked: Electric port a little distance but they do state that so my issue no Theirs

Lovers of history can explore the National Trust-owned Hardwick Hall (10 minutes’ drive), an Elizabethan manor doubling up as Malfoy Manor in the Harry Potter franchise, while elegant Chatsworth House (35 minutes) has more than its fair share of opulent apartments to peek at as well as lovely riverside walks in its extensive. grounds. The fabled Peak District National Park (20 minutes) is the gateway to walking, cycling and geo-caching adventures around a multitude of trails including the High Peak and Monsal. You can also up the activity levels with climbing, water sports and caving. Weather against you? Families can still keep active with water slides and a wave machine at Water Meadows Swimming and Fitness Complex in Mansfield (15 minutes). Admission

Admission is only permitted after registering at reception.
At least one of the party members must be aged 18 or over.

Arrivals and departures

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.
The site will send you further check-in information 1 day(s) before your arrival.

Changes to your holiday

Bookings cannot be amended within 14 day(s) of arrival.

Dogs

Dogs are prohibited from main facilities and amenities.
Dogs must be kept on leads and supervised at all times.
Guide dogs are allowed on site free of charge.
The site does not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act (i.e. Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, and Fila Brasileiro) and/or any of the following: Staffordshire bull terrier, American Staffordshire terrier, Rottweiler, any Mastiff or Tosa.

General

In the event of a complaint, please speak to reception immediately. Complaints which are not brought to the management's attention during your stay cannot be dealt with once you have left the site.
Public areas are non-smoking.
Quiet hours must be respected between 10:30 p.m. and 7:30 a.m..
Radio, music and TV players must be kept at a low volume. Car doors and boots must be closed quietly.
The management reserves the right to deny access or terminate the stay of those guests whose behaviour is deemed unsuitable. No refunds will be offered.
The site is not liable for any refund in the event of force majeure.

Occupancy

Group bookings of 3 or more units (e.g. tent, touring caravan, motorhome or accommodation hire) travelling together are not permitted via Pitchup.com.
No hen/stag parties permitted via Pitchup.com.
Single-sex bookings of 4 or more people (couples and immediate family members excepted) are not permitted via Pitchup.com.

Pitches

A cable measuring at least 25 metres is needed for the electric hook-ups.
Minimum spacing of 6 metres between pitches.
You must follow the management directives when pitching your tent/unit and related equipment.

Reception

Reception is closed from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.. No arrivals are permitted between these times.
Reception is open from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. between 01/04 and 30/09.
Reception is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. between 01/10 and 31/03.

Safety

Barbecues are permitted but must be raised off the ground and attended by an adult at all times.
Firearms are not permitted.
Guests are advised to bring a good quality torch with them as parts of the site are unlit.
Open fires are prohibited.

Taxes

This area is not subject to city tax.

Vehicles

Commercial vehicles (vehicles used for work-related purposes, carrying goods or fare-paying passengers) and sign-written vehicles are not permitted on site.
No vehicle movement between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m..
Only one car is to be parked by the pitch. Extra vehicles must be parked in the designated area.
Units longer than 9 metres are not allowed.

Visitors

Visitors’ cars are not permitted on site.
Visitors must leave the premises by 10 p.m..
