What customers say
Tidy campsite, top-notch loos & showers (best ever!). Staff super friendly. Great for dog walks with nearby trails, plus a local pub. Spacious pitches. Minor gripes: dim lighting for evening dog walks, one long power outage. No major recurring issues.

Electric grass pitch
Liked The toilets were lovely and very clean. The site is nice and compact. Hardwick Hall a 15 minute drive away so had a walk round the grounds.
Disliked The pitches are a little smaller than others we have stayed at and we parked the car in front of the tent instead of at the side as there wasn't enough space. Good for young children but 10 n 8 year old wasn't much for exploring

Nice and helpful staff, only okay toilets.
Electric grass pitch
Liked Nice friendly staff, nicely decorated toilets, decent enough park for the kids.
Disliked Toilet blocks were nice, but could've been cleaner, lots of times I went to find them a bit dirty.
People were quite loud and I slept very poorly, but I know this isn't really down to the site itself

Arrived on site and was told…
Electric grass pitch
Liked Arrived on site and was told where everything was and given a card fob to get though the barriers, nice clean site and good facilities, there are plenty of showers that also have toilets and sinks in each individual cubicle, there is separate family room. Large pot wash area that was always left clean and a great little park for the kids to play at. We booked thought pitch up with another family and asked if we could be pitched together but when they arrived they were in a different location so we went to reception and they were more than happy to move them so they were next to us. There is a lovely walk just across the road from the site with great views where you can take the dogs.
Disliked The pitches were a little smaller than we have had at previous sites and didn't have enough space to add our side porch however a little further round they did seem a bit more spacious. And the pitches don't have numbers on them so we were a little confused at first if we were on the correct pitch so had to go ask before unloading everything.

The reception staff and cleaners do…
Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch
Liked The reception staff and cleaners do a great job and are lovely. Toilets and showers kept spotless.
Disliked Gravel instead of tarmac roads.( difficult to walk on with my husbands disability. Water taps below ground on the pitch we were on and.my husband is disabled, which was declared on my booking and it was very difficult for him to get up and down to reach the tap. Our pitch was very uneven, couldnt even level it fully with ramps. People driving past our motorhome door on the grass to shortcut to their pitch. Shop not effective as barely anything stocked.

Lovely weekend location
Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch
Liked Second visit to this lovely site, which is very friendly and welcoming and is spotlessly clean. Shower / toilet block is modern, very roomy and kept very clean. Plenty of room between pitches. Lovely location for a quiet break.
Nice pub at the end of the road, dogs allowed outside only, with nice menu.
Disliked Location is quite rural, need a car travel to nearby sites and attractions but not really anything to dislike.
WiFi available to purchase at a reasonable price and we tried several times but it wouldn’t connect
