What customers say
This campsite benefits from a beautiful riverside location and proximity to a popular pub. Visitors frequently praise the peaceful atmosphere, spacious pitches, and friendly staff. However, a significant number of reviews highlight the dated and poorly maintained toilet and shower facilities, with some describing them as unpleasant or dangerous. While many find the location and value acceptable, the condition of the ablutions is a recurring concern.

Never again !
Electric grass and gravel touring pitch
Liked The weather
Disliked The "facilities " in 20 years of motorhoming all over the UK and Europe are the worst we have experienced by miles ! Absolutely disgusting. Appear to have NEVER been properly cleaned or updated since opening.
Without being fully inoculated against every infection known to man I would not recommend going within 100m of the cesspit toilet / shower block.
Dogs running around the site darking day and night, none on leads. One ran away and caused a nightmare afternoon as the owner blamed everyone else - unbelievable !
Pitches are overgrown and extremely rough.
Pub sadly run down and seems to be on the edge of closure.
Reception is dilapidated old shed at the end of the pub. No WiFi on site.
You can not cross the river here to get to Tewkesbury so without transport you are trapped on this hell hole.
Amazing that they have the cheek to actually charge to stay here.

Will not be booking again
Non-electric grass pitch
Liked The toilet had good quality toilet roll and the pub had excellent facilities
Disliked The toilet block needs updating. Rotten, stinking rubbish was piled up by the wash area. The chemical disposal was vile and smelt terrible. The grass has not been mown for a long time. The site has a lot of potential but needs to be maintained to a better standard. There was a mop and bucket in the ladies, went to us it, but the mosquitoes have used the water to live in, clearly had not been used in a while and I left the bathroom running, unfortunately was bitten very badly.

Needs closing down
Electric grass and gravel touring pitch
Liked Nearby pub
Disliked First came to this site several years ago. It looked just like the pictures but now it is just a run down piece of waste ground. Mothing like the advertising pictures. What a terrible shame. It's so overgrown you cant even see the pitches. Long grass full of weeds, electric hook ups surrounded by weeds and nettles. Gravel on the pitches non existent now, far more than a broken mower like the manager said. This hasn't been looked after for years. The toilet block needs demolishing. Steps to the block are rotten wood and dangerous. Toilets and showers are awful. Site needs closing down, certainly not worth the £30 per night

Poorly maintained
Electric grass and gravel touring pitch
Liked The weather was good. Location was near the river and quiet.
Disliked Very run down. Toilet block was poorly maintained and unclean. No bins provided on site. We saw the manager drive 200 metres into the field, let his 2 dogs out the car and watch them poo on the camping field. He made no attempt to clean it up. A bit of effort could make this a nice site but no effort was seen.

A beautiful site in desperate need of maintenance and some TLC
Electric grass and gravel touring pitch
Liked Excellent location, very tranquil and the pub next door is lovely and can’t do enough for you.
Disliked The site feels neglected and desperately needs some TLC. Hardstanding pitches haven’t been treated and are overgrown. The whole site hasn’t been mowed. The toilets/showers are not looked after. We were in a caravan so had our own shower, I would not use the ones on site. The toilet block had not been cleaned before we arrived - a manky towel on the floor and a full to over-flowing bin in one of the cubicles which remained for the whole of our stay. For these reasons I think £30 per night is too expensive but because of the location I would stay again - maybe on the pub site
