This is a small, quiet, adults-only touring site behind The Chequers Inn. Pitches are spacious, level, hardstanding with gravel and include a picnic table. The pub offers excellent food (booking advised) and a friendly atmosphere. Toilets are in the pub and accessible 24/7. The site is well-maintained, clean, and dog-friendly, with good local walks. It's conveniently located near the M1.

Liked Can absolutely recommend.
Great for a stop over or Holiday child free.
Close to M1 and for us Close to home, but so peaceful and quiet we could have been anywhere. Site is behind the pub. One of two in the pretty village, both offering good food good beer good atmosphere.
Big pitch with your own picnic bench [nice touch].
No showers, but that doesn't generally matter, most have that facility on board these days. Toilets in pub, 24 hrs access and so we'll kept.
Ken moon, the hawk was there to keep us company. Overall ten stars.

Great beers and food (order in advance if you want the food).

Liked Wonderful small touring site. The adjacent Pub food was excellent and the owner was very helpful. Very quiet excellent level pitches with plenty of room to back onto.

Disliked Having to book food before 12 on the day you wanted to eat was a pain. I would definitely used it more as I didn’t know if I was going to need food depending on what I’d done during the day.

Do a round of the greens at Erewash Valley Golf Club (20 minutes' walk), a well-kept local club with fab tree-lined fairways that's easily accessible on foot. Other outdoor pursuits around here include fishing, with the nearest angling spot about five minutes' drive away, and birdwatching – Attenborough Nature Centre (20 minutes) may be named after the nearby village rather than the TV presenter, but it's still a prime pick for a spot of ornithology. Nottingham city centre (20 minutes) is next up, for a castle, shopping centres and the interactive National Justice Museum. (Rather not drive around town? Pull up to one of the city's park and rides and take the tram instead.) On the outskirts of Nottingham is Wollaton Hall (20 minutes), an Elizabethan country house with a deer park and formal gardens.
