What customers say
This campsite offers beautiful views and a friendly atmosphere with helpful staff. Visitors frequently praise the on-site cafe, farm shop, and bar, noting good food and convenient amenities. While many find the facilities clean and adequate, some suggest an update is needed, particularly for the men's toilets. Showers are coin-operated (£1 for 4 minutes). The site can get busy, especially during peak times and events, leading to occasional noise and queues. Many would return, appreciating the location for walking and cycling.

Nice campsite if you want to be in a large group and party
Non-electric grass tent pitch (large)
Liked Welcome check-in, views, cleanliness
Disliked Being kepy up til 2.30am as there were several groups around us that were drinking til the early hours. With how much that camspite takes they could pay someone to patrol for a couple of hours after 10.30pm to ensure campsute rules are in place! Also because there was an extra field of campers the facilites were not enough... 30 minute wait in the morning to use the womens toilets!!

A must visit especially with the entertainment, staff and food
Non-electric grass campervan pitch
Liked The staff are simply incredible! So friendly and welcoming, we instantly felt at home. The evening live music, food and bar was an incredible extra that we can’t wait to experience again.
The food and drink facilities throughout day and night were brilliant so it didn’t feel so much like you were on a non electric site.
The farm shop stocked everything you could need (or had forgotten!) including ice cream and marshmallows for late night camping.
Communal bins were emptied very regularly so there was never a smell or huge build up.
The ground was well kept so you could sit on the grass on your pitch and enjoy the absolutely stunning views of the peaks.
Everyone was respectful of other campers and we really loved being there.
Disliked The queue for the toilets and showers were ridiculous—for the amount of people able to fit onsite at any one time, there should be at least triple the amount of toilets and showers. With the £1 charge for a 4 min shower, surely there’s a way to invest in a slicker system.
Due to the quick turnaround and queues, the toilets weren’t clean after a short while and there were no mops to keep on top of showers so you need to get in there quick.
Due to this, we’d struggle to stay here more than one or two nights.

I would stay again as I know exactly what to expect.
Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Nicely situated site with lovely views and plenty of walks nearby. The family who run it are very accommodating and hardworking. Nice to have live music onsite for one of the evenings. Breakfast in the cafe was lovely too.
Disliked Only downside is the lack of toilets and showers for the amount of visitors. Queuing for the toilet at 7am and no toilet roll wasn’t great. The showers constantly had queues of people throughout the day and evening. This has been mentioned on a lot of the reviews so hopefully it will be addressed by the site owners.
However we still really enjoyed our two night stay.
