What customers say
This campsite boasts stunning views and a friendly atmosphere, with many praising the helpful staff and excellent on-site cafe and farm shop. Facilities are generally clean, though some report them as basic or in need of updating. The location is ideal for walkers and cyclists, with the Monsal Trail nearby. While many enjoy the entertainment and spacious pitches, some guests note issues with noise and overcrowding, particularly during peak times and events. Showers are coin-operated.

Non-electric grass campervan pitch
Liked Beautiful fields, views, great location, farm shop and restaurant.
Friendly staff.
Great for getting to monsal trail or tideswell or Buxton. Great, relaxed atmosphere, plenty of space around tents/vans
Disliked 4 showers nowhere near enough for 3 fields of campers. Queues longer than at 2 festivals we've been to the past month. 40 minutes at busiest. Queues observed at 4, 5, 6, 7, 8pm not just standard morning peak.
5 female toilets which often had queues- seemed as shower queue was so large people were washing causing larger queues, so had to take daughter into mens.
Sort this out and we'd be back without hesitation

Over priced, crowded pitch, stayed in better. Good food and location
Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Really good shop/restaurant on site, made it very convenient for food. Showers were nice, good access to a walk. Staff very nice.
Disliked Didn't feel they could handle how many pitches they had booked, only 4 female toilets and 4 showers which you had to pay for (£1 for 4 minutes) which felt abit cheeky as it wasnt the cheapest site. No structure of where to pitch up either so it was really crowded, youd wake up and there would be somone right in front of you. People playing music past 10:30 and loud. Limited food service on Sunday too which seemed to be a result of just too many people.

Great all round site 👌🏼
Non-electric grass tent pitch (XL)
Liked Great site and great value in a good location to explore some lovely parts of the peak district, bakewell and buxton within 15 minutes, nice open spaces to pitch up on and great staff serving lovely food, toilets and showers cleaned regularly. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and that was with a fire pit ban in place, will be returning definatly.

Unfortunately not for me. I won’t return.
Non-electric grass campervan pitch
Liked The check in process is super easy and the staff we super friendly.
Disliked Not enough toilet and shower facilities for the volume of people staying on site. I imagine it’s fine if it’s not in peak times but Thursday and Friday was super busy and the wait for a toilet was so long which isn’t great when you are busting!
We also had a huge issue with people being loud and shouty with music blaring until midnight, when the rules are strictly no music and low noise level after 10.30pm. This is not monitored or enforced. Many cohorts were just way too loud and totally disrespectful. Never again.
