Non-electric grass touring pitch
Liked Nice little site with basic but decent facilities. Situated next door to Dalby forest, the owner gave us a discount voucher for the car park which saved us £5 and was much appreciated. Free WiFi that was much better than the camping and caravan club could manage! Very friendly dog Doris!

Electric optional grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Lovely peaceful and scenic site, very large and laid back plenty of space for everyone and lots of electric hook ups. Great play barn for the kids and toys in the cafe/bar. Great selection of food and drinks available. Shops and Aldi supermarket in nearby Malmersbury.
Disliked As other reviewers have said. There are only two showers, which on a bank holiday weekend were quickly overwhelmed. My partner had a cold shower and I went in the toilet to discover that someone had been sick in the washbasin! I’m assured that more washroom facilities are on the cards. This site is a new venture for the owners, and is a work in progress.

From the manager: We're pleased you enjoyed your stay. As you say, we have plans to put in more showers. Like you, were disappointed to find someone had been sick in the handbasin over night, this was dealt with as soon as we checked the toilets before 6am.

Electric grass pitch
Liked Lovely little site, tucked away by the banks of the river Severn. Pub selling very good food in the village, cafe next door and several walks from the site. Facilities are basic but quite usable for a short break. Good sized, well maintained pitches and grounds. Children’s play area is just by the church on the lane that leads to the site.
Disliked Although quite usable the toilet block wasn’t quite as clean as it could have been. Some noise from the working farm next door. There’s no phone signal… this is not necessarily a bad thing

Liked Absolutely fantastic site for a young family! Great food and drink, friendly staff, a wonderful beach a short walk from site, a petting zoo for the children and a great play area. Even the WiFi was better than most sites we’ve stopped at! Facilities are good and cleaned regularly. Pitches are laid out in several bays so feels like a smaller site. Would visit again :)
Disliked Being really picky but the non family washrooms are “portacabin” type (although wood clad so they look in keeping with the rest of the site) so are rather small with not a lot of space to get dressed.

From the manager: Thank you so much for your lovely review! We're so pleased to hear you had a fantastic time with your family—especially that you enjoyed the food, play areas, petting zoo, and nearby beach. It’s great to know the WiFi and facilities hit the mark too! We also really appreciate your honest feedback about the non-family washrooms. While we’ve done our best to make them blend in visually, we understand they can feel a bit compact, and it’s something we’ll definitely keep in mind as we continue to improve the site. We’d love to welcome you all back again soon!

Electric optional grass pitch
Liked Location, 2 minutes walk from the lake and facilities. The town of Attendorn is local and has many restaurants and shops. The van in the car park did good food and was very friendly
Disliked Firstly we arrived to find the electric point 30 metres away from our pitch. Reception provided an old two pin cable that fitted neither our electrics nor the bollard. The girl in reception made it clear this wasn’t her problem… a trip to the garden centre in Attendorn provided adapters but was 40 euros down before I’d even pitched!
The site is very run down and unloved. The washrooms by reception are good but the other one is falling apart. We saw lots of mice running around the reception/ washroom complex. All of the children’s facilities seemed closed or abandoned.
On Friday night a number of groups arrived who played loud music into the small hours.

Electric grass pitch
Liked Nice quiet location close to Barnstaple and Ilfracombe with lovely views across the valley. Site owner is very friendly and greeted us on arrival. Nearest shop is the Texaco garage about 3 miles away, there is also a Tesco and Asda in Barnstaple. It’s a quiet site with basic facilities, despite other reviews saying that the showers where cold we found them to be quite adequate.
Disliked The shower block could have been a bit cleaner. Toilets, basins and floors seem to be cleaned daily but cobwebs, dust and dead flies cover the window sills..
