Liked Fabulous site, outstanding views, beautiful 3 miles of sandy beach with crystal clear and clean sea. Good size pitches, clean toilet blocks. Absolutely love staying here, stay here several times a year in our motorhome. Our dog loves the short walk across the sand dunes to the amazing beach. Bus stop just down the Rd from the front entrance, bus direct to St Ives. Highly recommend this beautiful site.

Disliked Lack of WiFi, only works in Sands Bisto or Dynamite Bar but not important, can manage without WiFi for a week at a time.

Liked Brilliant clean site, clean toilets/ showers and wash up area. Managers very friendly and helpful. Location is fabulous, literally just across the road from Widemouth Bay beach which is beautiful and clean. We could hear the sound of sea at night in bed, nothing better than to be lulled to sleep by the sound of the waves. Magical. We will definitely return to this lovely site

Liked Lovely big pitches, clean toilets and showers, all.the staff are very helpful and friendly,the Sands Bistro has very reasonably priced good quality food and the closeness of the beautiful,sandy, dog friendly beach through the sand dunes is brilliant. Sunsets are spectacular. A beautiful relaxed site to unwind and recharge our batteries. Highly recommend this beautiful site, we will be back.

Disliked Wifi very poor on pitches but works in Sands Bistro and dynamite club . Not a big deal, wifi is quite poor all over Cornwall. Can manage without WiFi for a week when the location is so fantastic.

Disliked Worse site we have ever had the misfortune to book. The word basic doesn't cover this, the conditions are at best primitive. On arrival there was an old chap on reception who didnt have a clue what day it was let alone what he was doing, even asked me to find my name on his paperwork, couldn't read it himself, also told us we had to buy special chemicals for the toilet because they have a septic tank. There were 4 wooden shacks , supposedly toilets, the dirtiest we have ever seen. No hand soap or toilet paper in any of them and a very strong smell of wee in all of them.. Absolutely filthy. 4 showers that are permanently cold, dirty, full of ivy and mud. Toilets and showers never cleaned,the instructions from site are " if you have your own facilities ( toilet) then please use them! Surely the facilities are what you are paying for! Also the information on pitch up about this site says its a 25 minute walk down the side of the canal to Bude. Its minimum 45 minutes, more like 1 hour. The route to the park and ride involves crossing the very busy A39 road, dodging the constant traffic and then walking down the road on the grass verge to catch the bus. Not for the faint hearted. Reception staff not helpful at all, not interested in any questions we had. Finally a member of staff was having a bonfire burning grass cutting and rubbish with toxic smoke blowing over the whole site. Very bad idea in these tinder dry conditions. We were booked for 2 nights but only stayed for 1 night and paid for a pitch on a different site which couldn't have been more welcoming. This site is not value for money, its run down, dirty and woefully inadequate and needs complete updating and a thorough clean. We will not be returning and would not recommend it to anyone .

As a long-established campsite, we aim to offer a simple countryside camping experience at a fair and sensible price, and many of our guests return to us year after year. We would, however, like to correct a number of inaccuracies in your review. At reception, we asked you to identify your name on the arrivals list only because we were having difficulty hearing you clearly. This was not due to any confusion over your booking. We also provide the appropriate eco-friendly toilet chemicals because, like many campsites in rural areas, we operate with a septic tank system. Your description of the facilities is not accurate. We have 5 showers and 6 toilets available for campers, and these are stocked with hand soap and toilet roll dispensers. Guests are not instructed to use their own toilet facilities instead of the campsite amenities. We were sorry that no concerns were raised with us during your stay, as this would have given us the opportunity to investigate and address them immediately. We would also like to clarify that the walk into Bude is typically around 20–25 minutes and is clearly signposted. The route to the park and ride does not require guests to walk along the road as described in your review. Finally, we must firmly dispute the statement that a member of staff was burning grass or rubbish on site, as this did not happen. We appreciate that not every campsite will suit every guest, but we do ask that reviews remain fair and factual. We are proud to have welcomed returning visitors for the past 16 years and will continue to provide a straightforward, good-value camping experience for those who enjoy this type of stay.

Liked Everything about this beautiful site. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The wifi is not good and I needed to see a Dr. After several attempts to get a signal, I went to reception for help. Chloe on reception was amazing and very kind. After realising that I needed to see a Dr, Chloe, seeing that she had a signal, offered her mobile phone for me to use to make the call. I spoke to the Dr and Chloe gave them her private mobile phone number to call me back on. She offered me a glass of water and suggested I sat down whilst I was waiting for the call back and when I got an appointment, Chloe found me the details of a local taxi firm for me to call to get a lift to the drs. Chloe is a fantastic representative of the staff at Trevornick and a huge asset to the company. Her kindness and helpful manner were a huge help to me and I was and am very grateful to her. She will go far and we wish her well in her career.

Liked Spacious pitches, fairly level, close to sand dunes, 5 minutes walk across the Dunes to a fabulous beach, 3 miles of golden sand and crystal clear clean sea. Sands Bistro has very reasonably priced food and drinks with beautiful views over the Bay. Toilet blocks a bit tired but cleaned several times a day, dont need to be posh for camping! We return here several times a year, our puppy adores the Dunes and the beach . Hayle is just 2.5 miles away, a pleasant walk and in the other direction there is Godrevy where you can get a closer look at the lighthouse. Can't actually get over to the lighthouse but a good view from the beach. Highly recommend this site

Liked Proximity to the Beach. Restaurant food was very reasonable and enjoyable. Nice quiet pitches. Beach was beautiful and the sea so clean. Sand dunes lovely Reception was very helpful.

Disliked Toilet & Shower block was very basic, tired and old , needs renovation Pitches not very level even with chocs under the motorhome wheels Wifi only worked in the restaurant

Disliked Too many dogs, too many off the lead and security not being proactive and stopping owners letting their dogs run off the lead out of their control on the playing field where children are playing football. We saw 2 doberman dogs racing around yesterday on the playing field in amongst young children playing football and far away from the owners and out of their control. These can be dangerous dogs and should be on the lead at all.times around people.

Liked Meadow pitches lovely.

Disliked Facilities very tired and dated. This could be a brilliant site if updated. Pub on site but it doesn't serve food and no shop on site which was a big no, no.15 min walk to any shops or restaurants/cafes, so when you arrive and want a meal and too tired from travelling to cook, you have to go into Porthleven to get anything. This would be fine if site was cheap but £35 a night in May is expensive when Facilities are so poor. Didnt see any staff monitoring site the whole 4 days we were there. Check in is at the pub who just tell you your pitch number and dont show you where it is, no customer service at all. Sadly won't be returning to this site.
