Ellesmere, Shropshire, England
Electric grass touring pitch
Liked Large adult only site next to Colemere with access to the mere from the bottom of the park. Spacious pitches, especially the none electric side of the site.
There's free WiFi in the communal area. EE data was very intermittent but O2 wasn't bad.
There's a communal area and kitchen for campers and a couple of landscaped ponds with seating. The park and facilities were spotless. Hosts David and Ingrid were lovely.
Handy for Ellesmere where I can recommend the Boathouse for breakfast and The Red Lion for tea.
Disliked Toilet block is small and doesn't have a decent sized sink in the men's. My wife pointed out that anyone using the sink in the ladies blocks the entrance to the toilets.
This didn't distract from our holiday in anyway but worth pointing out.

From the manager: Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. We’re sorry to hear you were disappointed by the ladies’ toilet facilities. Unfortunately, we currently only have one ladies’ toilet basin available due to the layout of our premises. We understand this can be inconvenient during busy periods which we are hoping to resolve. Best wishes Ingrid and Dave

Dunlin electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch
Liked Very clean site with excellent facilities and an onsite bar/restaurant. There's a very large dog walk and the beach is minutes away.
Staff are very friendly and welcoming.

From the manager: Thanks so much for the kind words Andy! We're thrilled you enjoyed the clean site, top-notch facilities, and the convenience of the bar, restaurant, and nearby beach. Delighted your furry friend had space to roam too! And a big shoutout to our friendly team — they’ll be chuffed to hear it. Looking forward to welcoming you back soon! 🐾🌊

Liked Love the layout and being surrounded by fields and animals. Our second visit here on hard standing with my sister and niece in the camping field.
Great place if you're a dog owner.

Horseman's Green, Wrexham, Wales
Electric hardstanding touring pitch
Liked Very well kept and quiet site on the England/Wales border. Centrally located for visits to Wales and Shropshire tourist destinations.
The toilet block is small with two shared toilets and two shared showers, plus a urinal for men around the side, but never got busy even though the site was fairly full.
Cars are parked away from the pitches so the site felt larger than it is.
Disliked Nothing.

Lancaster, Lancashire, England
Seafield fully-serviced hardstanding and grass touring pitch
Liked Very quiet location close to Lancaster and the coastal towns from there. Pitches are very long and thin with hard standing and a grassy area. Lots of wildlife visible from the pitch. A flock of ducks comes and makes the rounds looking for food on a daily basis!
Access to coastal path from site which leads you down to the local pub - The Stork Inn - or Glasson Dock if you want to venture further. There's a café in the garden centre right by the site if you don't want to walk.
Toilet block very modern, clean and with free hot showers.
We will be making this our weekend bolt hole as it's only 45 minutes from home.

Electric gravel touring pitch
Liked Everything. Very clean site, well laid out large pitches, friendly owners, great bar and lots of great walks from the site.
We were lucky with the weather and the site is a real sun trap. Kirby Stephen is a great little town too.

Electric grass touring pitch
Liked Very nicely laid out site and in the process of expansion of facilities (shop, laundry and information room). Toilet bloke spacious and very clean. Staff were really friendly and helpful.
We had an electric grass pitch on the large field which was level and well drained. Dog walk is very good and just over the road from the main site and leads to a footpath in the far left corner, There's a beck with some picnic benches so if you have a dog who loves water you're sorted.
There's free wifi but the signal was too weak to use at the bottom of the field were we were. 4G signal is excellant though.
