Great campsite if fairly self sufficient

May 2026

Liked Lovely peaceful area and site. The animals were fun to look at and the owners were really welcoming. Spacious area for camping, lovely sunsets. Would deffo return but would have been useful to have a more realistic view before arriving for our autistic children (hence the detailed ‘disliked’ section) good phone signal which is useful for making plans. Good communication before hand, which was nice, and were told about shower not working on arrival.

Disliked Only bottled water provided, no taps etc, which felt awkward at times, felt bad for inconveniencing them! Toilet open during the day (except when they go out) and the alternative toilet (composting) was in a field with sheep and was a fairly scary experience for the children- felt like a bucket in a homemade shack! No rubbish disposal at all, which was hard with how much plastic waste we were creating from the water bottles! Also no ELSAN.

From the manager: Thank you for your comments Rebecca much appreciated. I would just point out that we are and have always been a 'Wild Camping' experience. At no point have we claimed to be anything other than a back to basics farm stay. I would ask that guests are fully aware of this when making a booking. Regards ESLAN - I am a special needs trained ALN Classroom Teacher and so if I am aware in advance of guests with children who may find challenges being on the farm I am more than willing to help. Look forward to seeing you all again in the future I hope. MarkB Owner

Great little site

May 2025

Liked Washing up station was really helpful, luxury loos were a nice addition. Sensible pitches with access to woodlands.

Disliked Water tap was not operational for quite a while around 11am when the toilets were being filled, worth baring in mind if you need to fill up around then! Struggled for 4g at the top end of the field near the toilets- worth thinking about when setting up.

From the manager: Hi Rebecca, so glad you enjoyed your stay. Sorry I should have pointed out there is a second drinking water tap along the fence line. Noted though about using the central tap during peak times. Many thanks Karen

Aug 2023

Liked Shane was friendly and welcoming and the site was in a good location and reasonably priced

Disliked This is a working farm so often very strong smells, and an incredibly large amount of flies. Very packed in site, not much room for the kids to play. Limited phone reception/ 4g if that matters to you.

Fine but expensive

Aug 2023

Liked Lovely views and huge nearly empty space

Disliked Seemed incredibly overpriced for what was a single portaloo in an otherwise empty field- no bins or water or elsan etc. there wasn’t actually even a sign on the gate, we assumed we were in the right place according to the postcode.

Lovely little site

May 2023

Liked Lovely small site, easy to find, just a bit of grass with water, elsan and a bin!

Disliked Quite close to main road, traffic noise was constant although not too loud. A family did arrive with a generator, which was incredibly loud, although not the fault of the site as I couldn’t see anywhere where it said they couldn’t be used.

Great little site!

Aug 2022

Liked Owners were really friendly and lovely. The site was in a great location with lots to do around, as well as being good for access to Bournemouth. Flat pitches were very welcome and lots of space for the kids to play. Animals were plentiful and great for the kids.

Disliked There was nowhere to dispose of rubbish. It was quite a noisy site, and not from the animals or other campers! It is on the Bournemouth flight path which is busier than I expected- although was great fun for the kids and not disruptive. There are several generators on site which are very loud and often on for extended periods of time, and overnight there is a beeping which I think comes from the field/ farm next door which is quite tedious if you have sensitive hearing.

Great place to stay

May 2022

Liked Lovely little site. Only 5 pitches which was lovely and some logs put down for the children to play on. Owners live on site and were friendly and kind. No wifi but good 4g if that's important to you.

Disliked The toilet faces onto pitch number 1 so there is very limited privacy when entering/ exiting which made us all feel a bit uncomfortable at times- we used our own toilet instead!

Great handy site for exploring the Malverns.

Aug 2021

Liked Pitches well signed, with enough space for us. Great facilities and the pub serves great food.

Disliked No views of the Malverns which were so so close, unfortunately blocked by trees. Next to a loud road but fine for a night! Said it had free WiFi but neither of us could get it to work and staff in the pub had no idea either.

Lovely spacious field, clean portaloos, and…

Jul 2021

Liked Lovely spacious field, clean portaloos, and friendly welcome. Fire pit and wood for only £10 extra. Was encouraged to hear they would only be accepting 20 bookings at a time to ensure it’s not overcrowded.

Disliked Only a few level areas, remember to bring your ramps for the van! Quite a lot of traffic noise from the main road, but great area to stay in.

From the manager: Thanks for the review Rebecca, glad you and the kids had a great time!(before the Storm started anyway!) Apoligises you had trouble setting up, the hedgeline you were on is generally quite flat so its a shame the area you choose was bumpy!, rest assure campers are free to move about the field to find the perfect spot, if youre not happy with your first choice :)
