What customers say

This large, family-friendly park boasts many activities for kids, like watersports and playgrounds. Recent investments have upgraded facilities. Staff are mostly praised as friendly & helpful. However, some guests noted cleanliness issues in restrooms, overcrowding, noise on busy weekends, and mixed feedback on pitch allocation and site organization.

Liked This place has lots of activities for children, very quiet at night. Toilets and showers are great and lots of them.
We really enjoyed a few days' break

Disliked We didn't know where to go, staff at the gate didn't tell us anything

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thank you so much for your feedback! We’re thrilled you enjoyed all the activities and had a peaceful, quiet stay plus those sparkling toilets and showers! Our team members work hard to keep everything in tip-top shape for all our guests.

We do apologise that our welcome team didn’t point you in the right direction. You should have been guided straight to the Touring Hut, where our touring team members would have looked after you and made your arrival super smooth.

It’s in our nature to take feedback on board, and we’ll make sure future guests don’t end up on a little “Touring Hut treasure hunt.” We’re so glad you had a great few days, and we can’t wait to welcome you back for an even smoother, more fun start next time!

Liked That you could pick you own pitch

Disliked Goose poo everywhere
couldn’t use any indoor facilities with the dog

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thank you for your feedback! We’re thrilled you enjoyed being able to pick your own pitch we know how much our touring guests love that freedom.

We’ve taken your comments on board and have relooked at the way we welcome our touring guests. We’ve now removed pitch numbers so everyone is guided to the area rather than a specific pitch, making arrivals much smoother.

We also love welcoming your furry friends, as they’re such an important part of the family. They’re welcome in our venues, arcades, outside areas and don’t forget the Tough Mutter! So much fun for everyone to enjoy together.

It’s in our nature to take feedback on board, and we’ll continue improving to make sure all guests two-legged and four-legged have a fantastic stay.

Liked The staff were the best thing there.

Disliked The site was very dirty. All closed and no restaurants open. One food kitchen was open till 6pm. There was geese mess everywhere and the aqua park on the lake was in a terrible mess from bird mess.

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thank you for sharing your feedback, Our park teams are some of the best around, and we celebrate the hard work they put in every day. I’m sorry you found parts of the park to be dirty our teams are always busy ensuring the park is clean and tidy, and the extra bins will also help with this.

When the park is quieter, we may limit the opening times of some venues and eateries, as they are not needed for as long when demand is lower. We are incredibly fortunate to be set in stunning surroundings with Mother Nature all around us. With this comes our cheeky wildlife, including many birds, which can sometimes cause mess. While this may be inconvenient at times, we celebrate it as it shows the freedom and natural beauty of the wildlife that shares our park.

It’s in our nature to take on board your comments and do better, and we hope to welcome you back soon for another enjoyable stay and hopefully a higher rating!

Liked Freedom to choose what ever pitch you wanted. Toilets and showers kept clean.
The staff I spoke with were helpful.
I didn't use any of the activities but there appear to be a lot to do.

Disliked Seems to be a popular place to smoke weed. The smell of it is never far away when you have a walk round.

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thank you for your feedback! We’re glad you enjoyed the freedom to choose your pitch and that the toilets, showers, and team members made your stay pleasant.

We do hold a zero-tolerance policy on drugs, and our teams will challenge this if seen. Our touring teams are working incredibly hard to ensure the pitches are clean and tidy, along with the shower blocks. It’s in our nature to always look to improve, and we’ve recently changed the arrival process for our touring guests, so we’re glad it seems to be working better.

Liked Billing Aquadrome is highly recommended.

The facilities are clean and the staff are friendly. The surroundings are attractive too with the marina and plenty of greenery.

There is a good choice of restaurants and a proper bar with a view of the marina.

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback! We’re delighted to hear you’d highly recommend Billing Aquadrome and that you enjoyed our clean facilities, friendly team members, and the beautiful surroundings by the marina. We’re so pleased you made the most of the restaurants and our bar with those stunning views.

We also highly recommend Billing Aquadrome our housekeeping teams will be doing flips with their mops when they hear your kind words, they work so hard! It’s in our nature to go the extra mile, and we’re so lucky with our location and our wonderful community of guests.

We can’t wait to welcome you back for another fantastic stay!

Liked Lots to do.

Clean facilities.

Good location.

When you found staff, they were helpful.

Disliked No one told us about what was going on each day or how to find out.

The pool was closed.

The site needs a really good clean as there was lots of rubbish around. I did not see anyone litter picking once and it was needed.

The chemical waste point did not have a hose and the it was in a position whereby it was really tricky to get the water in three cassette. Also meant the area was never hosed off which made it dirty and smelly.

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thank you so much for sharing your feedback with us.

We’ve worked really hard to create a great activities and entertainment programme there truly is something for everyone! There was a small issue with the swimming pool during your stay, but our team acted quickly to rectify it, and the pool was reopened again straight away.

All of our teams take pride in keeping their areas clean and tidy. We’ve recently added new bins around the park and encourage everyone to do their bit it’s important for the look of our park, the environment, and of course our wonderful wildlife. You’re absolutely right that we need to keep pushing to make the park as litter-free as possible, and we’ll keep working on that.

Regarding the chemical waste point, we did have a hose near the waste pipe, but it looks like this may have been removed. I’ll make sure our touring team is informed so this can be addressed quickly.

You can always find our daily programme on the large screens across the park and on our social media platforms each day.

It’s in our nature to take comments like yours on board, keep learning, and keep improving so thank you again for helping us get even better.

Shelduck (area 3) powered grass travel trailer campsite

Liked good facilities ,ease if booking , ease of checking into site , plenty of water points and bin stores , had read reviews before booking but as i was there out of school holidays i found it quite quiet, stayed here as its fairly local to santapod as i was between eventd was cheaper than dragging caravan home for 3 nights

Disliked no real dislikes just people not sticking to speed limits

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: We’re really proud of what we’ve built here our facilities are some of the best around, and we’ve put a lot of care into creating activities and an entertainment programme that has something for everyone. You can even book activities through our link before you arrive, which is such a handy way to plan your days and make the most of your stay. Our touring team also do their best to make check-in as smooth as possible, so you can start your holiday just the way you want to.

We’ve added more bins across the park because we want to keep things looking beautiful and protect our wildlife. And you’re absolutely right about speed limits we’re already looking at adding more signage and other ways to make sure everyone sticks to the rules.

Thanks again for taking the time to let us know about your experience. We’re so glad you enjoyed your stay, and we’d love to welcome you back again soon.

Shelduck (area 5) powered grass travel trailer campsite

Liked Thought the activities available were brilliant for children & families. We loved the swimming area & the amusements & the park areas were great.

Disliked -Definitely needs to be more security checks done around the campsite.
-Children on electric scooters / bikes bombing round the campsite saw two small children almost get mowed down these need to be banned like on other campsites we’ve been too.
-Older children riding bikes in the football area next to the venue facilities while children were playing football.
-Staff wise there didn’t seem to be anybody with any authority / management skills a lot seemed like they were temp staff on a school break.
-Pot washing areas weren’t always clean / tidy, same with the showers & toilets

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thank you for sharing your feedback with us we’re so pleased to hear you and your family enjoyed the activities, swimming, amusements, and park areas. We work really hard to provide some of the very best activities and entertainment around, with something for everyone to enjoy, so it’s great to know that made your stay special.

You’re absolutely right about security. With such a large park and lots of holiday guests especially children and young adults it’s really important we keep everyone safe. We’ve already increased our security presence to make sure this is well covered. We do ask that all children are supervised by an adult at all times looking after our guests and our park is in our nature.

I’m sorry to hear you found the toilets, showers, and pot wash areas less than clean at times. Our touring teams are in the blocks from early morning through to late evening to keep them tidy, but it looks like we missed the mark during your stay. Please accept our apologies we’ll be working with the team to make sure standards are where they should be.

Thank you again for your comments. We really do listen, and your feedback helps us improve while making sure families like yours continue to enjoy safe, fun holidays with us.

We hope we’ll get the chance to welcome you back again soon.
