  • Spacious parkland site 10 kilometres from central Vicenza
  • Venice, Verona and Padua under an hour away by train
  • Shared barbecues and restaurant with takeaway pizza
Being bright types, you’ll no doubt already have worked out for yourselves that Camping Vicenza is in the gorgeous Veneto town of Vicenza. To be rather more specific, it’s about 10 kilometres from the elegant historic centre, in a plant-filled park that gives you that fab mix of space to chill out and easy access to the town’s attractions. It’s not just Vicenza itself that’s easily visited from here – day trips to Venice, Verona and Padua are all doable by car or public transport. Don’t worry too much about wearing yourselves out while wandering either, for there’s everything you need back at base, such as shaded spots to snooze in and modern bathroom blocks where you can spruce up with free hot showers. A pool and spa (where extra charges apply) are next door to the site. DIY dinners can be cooked over the coals of the communal barbecues and served up on picnic tables; folk whose hunger demands more immediate attention should head to the restaurant to select from the local menu or pick up a pizza to take away.

What customers say

This campsite is well-regarded for its friendly staff, clean and functional facilities, and pleasant, shaded pitches. Many appreciate the complimentary washing machine and the option to choose their own pitch. While ideal for stopovers due to its convenient motorway access, some guests mention noise from nearby traffic and an abundance of mosquitoes. The adjacent hotel's pool and restaurant are also noted as positive amenities.

Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch

Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch

From the manager: Thank you for sharing your review. We're happy you appreciated the beauty of our shaded pitches, which are one of the most appreciated aspects of our campsite.

Regarding your comments, we'd like to make a few clarifications. Our bathrooms, while not new, are cleaned daily and offer all the amenities required for a campsite of this type. Despite the passing of the years, we are constantly committed to keeping them functional and clean.

Regarding waste management, we'd like to emphasize that the waste you noted is not related to our campsite. Waste bins are located outside the building, and inside the campsite there are only bins for toilet paper and other waste. Unfortunately, some guests confuse these bins with those for general waste, causing a mess. This is an issue beyond our control.

Finally, regarding noise, our location is well-known, as we are close to the highway exit. The campsite's location is easily visible on Google, and if this is a concern, we recommend considering it more carefully before booking.

We hope these details clarify your concerns, and we invite you to give us another opportunity to welcome you in the future.

Best regards,
Nicole

Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch

Local attractions

Even those with very little knowledge of architecture may well have heard of Palladio, the 16th-century Venetian whose name spawned the style known across the world as Palladian, and who designed lots of the gorgeous buildings in Vicenza’s centre. This is a town so renowned for its handsome architecture it’s been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Walking is the best way to see the place, taking in the Villa Rotonda and Villa dei Nani, Monte Berico church, the Palladian Basilica, Palladio Museum and the Olympic Theatre, stopping frequently for coffees and gelato as you go, of course… If you’d like to venture further into the Veneto, it's an easy train ride to the lively university town of Padua (15 minutes), the canals of Venice (40 minutes) and Romeo and Juliet’s famed balcony in Verona (45 minutes).
