Being bright types, you’ll no doubt already have worked out for yourselves that Camping Vicenza is in the gorgeous Veneto town of Vicenza. To be rather more specific, it’s about 10 kilometres from the elegant historic centre, in a plant-filled park that gives you that fab mix of space to chill out and easy access to the town’s attractions. It’s not just Vicenza itself that’s easily visited from here – day trips to Venice, Verona and Padua are all doable by public transport or car (the site is close to the Vicenza Est motorway exit). Don’t worry too much about wearing yourselves out while wandering either, for there’s everything you need back at base, such as shaded spots to snooze in and modern bathroom blocks where you can spruce up with free hot showers. A pool and spa (where extra charges apply) are next door to the site. DIY dinners can be cooked over the coals of the communal barbecues and served up on picnic tables; folk whose hunger demands more immediate attention should head to the restaurant to select from the local menu or pick up a pizza to take away.

Handy for the motorway and Vicenza, great for stopovers and exploring. Staff are friendly, facilities clean (free washing machine!), and pitches are shaded. Road noise and mosquitoes are a bother for some, with mixed and sometimes unlevel pitches and a few finding the facilities dated.

Liked Prima locatie voor een tussenstop direct na afslag snelweg dus volgende dag weer snel onderweg.

Disliked Eigenlijk niets om kritisch over te zijn, waren wel erg veel Bruingemarmerde stinkwants, maar ja dat is de natuur en daar doe je weinig aan.

Liked Man kann sich den Platz selbst aussuchen. Die Waschräume sind sauber. Das Schwimmbad nebenan ist toll. Und das Restaurant hat super leckeres Essen. Das Personal ist immer freundlich und hilfsbereit. Alles, was man für einen Aufenthalt braucht.

Disliked Die gute Lage in Sachen Verkehrsanbindung bedeutet ein bisschen Autobahn Lärm. Sanitäranlagen sind wirklich prima, der Rest am und um den Platz braucht mal eine liebevolle Hand…
Leider viele Mücken und Fliegen, weil auf der anderen Seite irgendein landwirtschaftlicher Betrieb grosszügig Jauche verteilt hat…

From the manager: Hallo, vielen Dank für deine Bewertung und dafür, dass dir unsere strategische Lage, die Sauberkeit der Sanitäranlagen und die Freundlichkeit unseres Teams so gut gefallen haben. Es tut uns leid, dass einige Aspekte nicht ganz deinen Erwartungen entsprochen haben, und wir möchten dazu kurz Folgendes erklären.
Da wir hier mitten in der Natur und von Landwirtschaft umgeben sind, gehören die typischen Gerüche des Landes hier zwar dazu, aber dieser starke Geruch war eine absolute Ausnahme durch die spontane Arbeit des benachbarten Bauern.
Wir führen zudem regelmäßig Insektenbekämpfungen durch, aber die Kombination aus dieser Ausnahmesituation und den Feldern lässt sich manchmal nicht ganz ausblenden. Was die Pflege des Platzes betrifft, kümmern wir uns täglich darum, aber leider gab es kurz vor deiner Ankunft zwei schwere Unwetter, die uns die Gartenarbeit vorübergehend sehr erschwert und unsere gewohnten Standards etwas ausgebremst haben. Bezüglich des Lärms ist die Nähe zur Autobahn einfach unser großer Pluspunkt für einen schnellen Zwischenstopp, was manchmal etwas Hintergrundlärm mit sich bringt; für empfindliche Gäste bieten wir daher an unserer Rezeption kostenlose Ohrstöpsel an. Vielen Dank nochmals für dein Feedback, das uns hilft, uns weiter zu verbessern, und wir würden uns freuen, dich in Zukunft wieder bei uns zu begrüßen.
