Being bright types, you’ll no doubt already have worked out for yourselves that Camping Vicenza is in the gorgeous Veneto town of Vicenza. To be rather more specific, it’s about 10 kilometres from the elegant historic centre, in a plant-filled park that gives you that fab mix of space to chill out and easy access to the town’s attractions. It’s not just Vicenza itself that’s easily visited from here – day trips to Venice, Verona and Padua are all doable by car or public transport. Don’t worry too much about wearing yourselves out while wandering either, for there’s everything you need back at base, such as shaded spots to snooze in and modern bathroom blocks where you can spruce up with free hot showers. A pool and spa (where extra charges apply) are next door to the site. DIY dinners can be cooked over the coals of the communal barbecues and served up on picnic tables; folk whose hunger demands more immediate attention should head to the restaurant to select from the local menu or pick up a pizza to take away.

La cortesia delle persone, le piazzole ampie e ombreggiate, i servizi completi (con carta igienica, sapone e asciugamani di carta) pulitissimi e con acqua calda a volontà, l'area cani, la possibilità di usare i servizi del vicinissimo albergo, in particolare bar e ristorante con prezzi assolutamente normali e personale di grande gentilezza, la vicinanza di supermercati (il più vicino a circa 1 km).

Liked Le côté très vert et ombragé des emplacements.
La propreté du camping et des sanitaires.
Les espaces verts.
La présence de personnes agréables à l'accueil.
Le fait de pouvoir commander du pain pour le lendemain matin.
Le bus pour Vicenza très proche.
Le restaurant juste devant le camping.

Disliked Nous avons eu peur du bruit étant proches de l'autoroute mais pas de souci. Très bonnes nuits.

Liked Ottima esperienza al Camping Vicenza. Mi ha colpito subito la gentilezza e la disponibilità del personale al mio arrivo. Hanno risposto con chiarezza a tutte le mie domande e mi hanno dato consigli utili sia su dove mangiare sia su come muovermi per raggiungere il centro.

Disliked Unico suggerimento: migliorare l’illuminazione all’arrivo, perché arrivando col buio ho fatto un po’ fatica a vedere i numeri dei piazzole.

This is a town so renowned for its handsome architecture it’s been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Walking is the best way to see the place, taking in the Villa Rotonda and Villa dei Nani, Monte Berico church, the Palladian Basilica, Palladio Museum and the Olympic Theatre, stopping frequently for coffees and gelato as you go, of course… If you’d like to venture further into the Veneto, it's an easy train ride to the lively university town of Padua (15 minutes), the canals of Venice (40 minutes) and Romeo and Juliet’s famed balcony in Verona (45 minutes).
