General

  • Friendly site overlooking the city of Venice
  • A 15-minute ferry journey to St Mark's Square
  • Marina, bar, restaurant, supermarket and multilingual staff on site

What a very viewsome Venice location has Camping Fusina Tourist Village. For it not only overlooks the city of Venice, it's on the edge of its lagoon and a mere 15-minute ferry ride from St Mark's Square. And it has most easy access to the Brenta Riviera, the Palladian Villas, Padoa and Treviso – well, it was designed and placed (back in 1957) by famous architect Carlo Scarpa, after all…

A bar, restaurant, supermarket and laundry facilities are all on site for your convenience, along with well-maintained showers and toilets. And – a Venice bonus – there's also an on-site marina with all boating facilities including lifts, ramps and moorings for all types of craft.

You'll find lots to do in the surrounding locale, but if you need some inspiration, have a word with the friendly, helpful and multilingual Camping Fusina team who can point you in the right direction.

Schönes Gelände, toller Ausblick nach Venedig.
Gutes Restaurant und ein gut bestückter Shop. Der Stellplatz war schön groß. Duschen und Toiletten sauber.

    Disliked:

Es war viel zu laut. Große Kreuzfahrtschiffe und Industrieschiffe legen dort an und ab. Dabei werden sie von megalauten Lotsenschiffen gezogen. Das An- bzw. Ablegen ging von 6:00 bis ca. 23:00. Mitunter stinkt es nach dem Schiffsdiesel. Der Campingplatz liegt inmitten eines Industriegebietes.

Facilities, position and convenience. Passenger ferry directly to Venice was a major plus, as was the site next door selling waterbus tickets etc. Very friendly multilingual and helpful staff. Thank you all so much. I really didn't want to leave. View over the lagoon is wonderful as well.

    Disliked:

Die Seeroute großer Schiffe lief genau vor uns vorbei, deren Motoren waren sehr laut. Außerdem kamen noch Flugzeuglärm dazu.

A different site, in an industrial / port side location beside cruise liners and freight ships, but pitches are in a leafy park setting with a stunning vista of Venice which can be reached in 20 minutes by hourly passenger ferry. Ferry costs €13 return). Facilities are of a 60’s vintage, but include a pool (cap required), restaurant, shop and bar as well as laundry, and usual amenities.

    Disliked:

In September there are a lot of flying insects, so bring repellent. Other than ferry to Venice (last return 8.30pm during the week), nothing else in the area.
Aircraft noise during the day as on flight path. Ships horns can wake you up in the morning. Unless you are going to see Venice, there is no point coming here.

As we mainly went to this camping spot to see Venice it was perfect to have a shuttle ferry literally 2 min walk away! So easy to purchase the tickets with the friendly reception staff.
Camping grounds also have many more facilities to make it an all round great spot for a holiday or short visit.
Didn’t visit the bar or restaurant but it looked great.
Loved our location at the water front where it was a lovely view to Venice and well worth the extra $! (Beware if mozzies)
Showers and toilets were a long walk for where our camper was located and could have been a bit cleaner but were okay.
Wifi generated good. However struggled to reach our camp site which was one of the furthest from reception and facilities but as we didn’t use it much, this was not really an issues for us.
Used the laundry facilities where everything was clean and worked well.
The mini mart is super convenient and well stocked with everything you need!
    Very much enjoyed staying here!

We didn't have a lagoon pitch but we was on the grass just next to those potches and had a great view of the lagoon and loved watching all the boats go by. So easy to get into venice on the small ferry which was a perfect addition to the holiday. We ate at the restaurant and in the bar, the food was really tasty and the portions were really big. Great value for money. All the facilities were very clean, and never busy. The staff were great, my partner had an infected bite (from pompei not fusina) and the reception helped us locate a chemist and even gave us some cream free of charge. The ferry is just a 2 min walk out of the front gates, so getting over to Venice itself was so easy,it was a lovely little boat ride. All in all we would 100% recommend Fusina and if we are ever back in that direction we would definitely choose this site to stay

Local attractions

Most folk staying at Camping Fusina Tourist Village quite rightly come to view fab Venice – its Grand Canal, its art and architecture and its Piazza San Marco among many more – and its islands such as Murano, Burano, Torcello and Lido. The entire city as well as its lagoon are a World Heritage Site, so lace up your comfy shoes and prepare for lots of sightseeing.

Also famed in the region are the 200 or so Palladian Villas of the Riviera del Brenta/Brenta Riviera, once homes of the Venetian aristocracy who built their villas along the waterfront: book a Burchiello boat tour to see them between March and October.

And… one could stay here for weeks what with the many more things to see and do in and around Venezia, but if you're pushed for time, recommended options nearby include Padoa and Treviso, both a 20-minute drive away; and the town of Abano Terme ten kilometres south west of Padua, known Europe-wide for its hot springs and mud baths.
