General

  • Friendly site overlooking the city of Venice
  • A 15-minute ferry journey to St Mark's Square
  • Marina, bar, restaurant, supermarket and multilingual staff on site

What a very viewsome Venice location has Camping Fusina Tourist Village. For it not only overlooks the city of Venice, it's on the edge of its lagoon and a mere 15-minute ferry ride from St Mark's Square. And it has most easy access to the Brenta Riviera, the Palladian Villas, Padoa and Treviso – well, it was designed and placed (back in 1957) by famous architect Carlo Scarpa, after all…

A bar, restaurant, supermarket and laundry facilities are all on site for your convenience, along with well-maintained showers and toilets. And – a Venice bonus – there's also an on-site marina with all boating facilities including lifts, ramps and moorings for all types of craft.

You'll find lots to do in the surrounding locale, but if you need some inspiration, have a word with the friendly, helpful and multilingual Camping Fusina team who can point you in the right direction.

Please note

Group bookings of 25 or more adults are not permitted (couples and immediate family members excepted).

Dogs are not allowed in the on-site accommodations.

Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.

It’s location to Venice was the only reason we choose the site.

    Disliked:

    1. The mosquito’s !! They were the worst we’ve had the misfortune of experiencing. In my opinion the site has taken any corrective measures to reduce their numbers and they are out of control.
    2. Paying for the pool ? We’ve travelled through france and Italy this trip. Staying in over ten locations. This site is the only site where you have to pay extra to use the pool (€3 per person per day) additionally you must where a swim cap.
    3. At first the location overlooking the channel to Venice was perfect until it become apparent that this is main shipping channel 100m from the site right and the heavy cargo ships are a constant.
    4. Finally there’s was one waitress in the pizza bar who was so rude and condescending we asked to speak to a manager. But apparently there isn’t one in the evening ?

Spectacular location overlooking Venetian Lagoon - punctuated by epic scenes of shipping right beside you. Sun rises over Venice and views to Alps to the north. Ferry to Venice literally on your doorstep - 15 minute boat ride. Toilets, showers and laundry clean and well functioning, restaurant and bar nice. Info helpful - simply the best place we’ve ever stayed at.

Most profesional campsite we experienced in Italy, great reception staff, well organised pitches, interesting bathroom facilities with hot water, possibility to but ferry tickets at the reception and the ferry stops 2 min walk from the site.

    Disliked:

It is double priced if you compare to other campsites, and even though we could not complain about anything the standard was only camping not glamping...

Local attractions

Most folk staying at Camping Fusina Tourist Village quite rightly come to view fab Venice – its Grand Canal, its art and architecture and its Piazza San Marco among many more – and its islands such as Murano, Burano, Torcello and Lido. The entire city as well as its lagoon are a World Heritage Site, so lace up your comfy shoes and prepare for lots of sightseeing.

Also famed in the region are the 200 or so Palladian Villas of the Riviera del Brenta/Brenta Riviera, once homes of the Venetian aristocracy who built their villas along the waterfront: book a Burchiello boat tour to see them between March and October.

And… one could stay here for weeks what with the many more things to see and do in and around Venezia, but if you're pushed for time, recommended options nearby include Padoa and Treviso, both a 20-minute drive away; and the town of Abano Terme ten kilometres south west of Padua, known Europe-wide for its hot springs and mud baths.
