What customers say

This is a large, well-maintained campsite praised for its excellent location directly opposite a stunning beach. Visitors consistently highlight the friendly and helpful staff, along with top-notch, clean facilities including showers and washing-up areas. The site offers a good atmosphere, well-spaced pitches, and on-site amenities like a cafe/bar with live music and a pizza van. While some found the showers basic and requiring payment, most appreciated the proximity to the beach, coastal paths, and water sports opportunities. Minor points mentioned include occasional traffic noise and wind, with some suggesting a small on-site shop for essentials.

Non-electric grass pitch

Liked Very clean facilities. Lovely location. Good entertainment. Love being able to walk minutes to the beach front. A nicely priced weekend.

Disliked Very busy this weekend and so no markings for pitches made it a little more difficult to find a good spot for the 2 parties arriving.
Drinks very expensive in the bistro/bar

Non-electric grass pitch

Liked On site staff were very good, shown to pitch, and given all on-site info, toilets spotless throughout, if you are going during the school holidays you may experience a wait for the showers, but this is to be expected! The beach is literally across the road and we had awesome surf! Our Grandchildren were safe throughout, the roads are clearly marked, yet there was plenty of room for them (age 4&5)
Epic on site pizza van, the little pub, the Landsker Mine is a pure Gem, excellent variety of food and beer, if you don’t make a table, take your own chair and enjoy the live music from the pebbles 🙌

Non-electric grass pitch (no pets)

Liked Atmosphere..friendly staff ..location..facilities..

Disliked This is nothing to do with the campsite and is out of thier control...as the campsite is perfect ..Saturday night cars in the carpark opposite doing doughnuts and speeding up and down the road ..and the road could do with speed restrictions to ease crossing or a traffic light...but I'll be staying again

Non-electric grass pitch

Liked Wonderful beach very close, great staff, food options on site were very good, cheap pitches

Disliked Site is basic and pitches are a bit unkept. Shower and loo facilities were basic too. Not much other than the great beach nearby

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Good morning Caroline,
Many thanks for the review, we're pleased you felt the site was value for money and enjoyed our amazing Newgale Beach.
I'm sorry to hear you felt the pitches were basis, we are in the National Park and therefore limited to what we can do to create designated pitches. However, the site is essentially 9 acres of grass which we mow as often as we can although this becomes harder during the busy season.
Our shower block is perhaps basic compared to more expensive sites but this allows us to keep the cost of camping down. We provide toilets, showers, WIFI, laundry and phone charging facilities, not bad for £10 per night per person.
Newgale has a regular bus timetable and allows campers to explore the wonderful Pembrokeshire countryside. There are plenty of lovely villages to visits with pretty harbours as well as boat trips to see the wildlife. When you come again, please be sure to ask a member of staff for advice.
We look forward to seeing you again soon,
Kind regards,
Clare Harris.

Non-electric grass pitch

Liked Sea , pizza place , there is no wind onsite
Staff am sound

Disliked No personal space with other tents , toilet am always busy and dirty bar is tiny

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Good morning Luke,

Many thanks for the review. We're sorry it appears you didn't enjoy your stay with us. You stayed with us recently on a very busy weekend so space was limited. Many of our campers enjoy the festival vibe that's created at peak times on our site but if you require more personal space it would be best not to book a weekend in the school summer holidays.
The toilets were busy as the site was busy.
Our new on site cafe is a small takeaway establishment, that was previously a disused public toilet block. I have to say, yours is the first negative comment we have received about The Landsker Line. The staff work hard to keep the cafe clean and tidy at all times so I would have to refute the statement "dirty bar" as this is simply never the case.
We hope you find what you're looking for on another campsite,

Best wishes,

Clare Harris

Local attractions

The smallest city in the UK, St Davids (15 minutes’ drive) has a cathedral that holds a shrine to St David, which was an important pilgrimage site in the Middle Ages. Just across the River Alun are the imposing ruins of Llys yr Esgob, Tyddewi / St Davids Bishop’s Palace. Roller coasters, water rides and family attractions await at Oakwood Theme Park (half an hour), which also has a soft-play area and indoor games. If the kids (or you…) are more into animals, book a relaxed trek at Pembrokeshire Llama Sanctuary (45 minutes). Do you like sunrises as much as sunsets? Then get up early and head to Tenby (50 minutes), which has two east-facing sandy beaches on Bae Caerfyrddin. From Tenby it’s also possible to catch a boat to Caldey Island, where you might buy chocolate or perfume made by the resident monks.
