  • Large motorhome pitches on a working farm with a dog exercise paddock
  • A five-minute drive from several beaches and 10 minutes from Tenby
  • Small and friendly site within the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park
Families, couples, dogs, hikers, surfers and climbers assemble… based in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, Camping at the Paddocks is a rural retreat just five minutes’ drive from a cluster of sandy south Pembrokeshire beaches. That’s not all, though, as the harbour town of Tenby is 10 minutes’ drive away too, with yet more sandy beaches, fish and chips and seal-spotting boat trips that visit Caldey Island. Not that you need to worry about driving anywhere; it's a 10-minute walk from the site to Manorbier train station (where it takes less than 15 minutes to reach Tenby and Pembroke) and 15 minutes to a bus stop. A small, friendly place this certainly is, too. The large hardstanding motorhome pitches (with a generous grass area) are set up on a working farm and well provided for, with toilets, hot gas showers, a washing-up area and a sheltered communal area where guests can put their feet up when the weather isn't playing nice. Dogs are also looked after, as there is an enclosed one-acre exercise paddock set just a short stroll away from the pitches where they can have a proper run around. This area is geared up for foodies, with plenty of family-friendly and dog-friendly eateries nearby. St Florence (25 minutes’ walk) and Manorbier (35 minutes) both have a pub and shop, and there’s a garden centre (15 minutes’ walk) with a café that serves everything from coffee to Sunday dinners. Main supermarkets can be tracked down in Tenby, and there's a petrol station five minutes’ drive away too. Nicely fed and watered, you might want to head to one of a handful of beaches five minutes’ drive away: Skrinkle Haven, Lydstep, Manorbier and Swanlake beaches. There are also activity centres, watersports and an adventure zoo set a short drive away.

What customers say

This is a well-maintained, peaceful small campsite in a rural setting. Guests consistently praise the cleanliness of the spotless toilets and showers, and the exceptional friendliness and helpfulness of the host, Jan. The site's peaceful atmosphere, lovely views, and proximity to beaches and a train station are highlights. Animal encounters, including baby calves and horses, are a popular bonus. Some guests note the lack of Wi-Fi and mobile signal, and the cold water for washing up and hand basins, which are addressed by the hosts as being due to the off-grid nature of the site. Minor levelling issues with pitches are noted, with levelling blocks provided.

Non-electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch

Liked Everything. The owners have really thought through what customers are likely to want from a small farm site. It’s attractive, well maintained, facilities are immaculate (fresh flowers in the loos!), lots of information on things to do. The site is incredibly peaceful
And although there mobile data signal is poor this is actually a bonus as you can listen to the birds and animals and really unwind.

Disliked Nothing. A perfect site.

Non-electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch

Liked Lovely small campsite near lots of nice beach options. Pitches were spacious with nice toilets, showers and washing up facilities. There is also a covered area where my children enjoyed the rock painting activity that was set up. They also enjoyed seeing the horses on the adjacent field. Jan the owner was very welcoming and had lots of local tips.

From the manager: Thanks so much for your review. We are so pleased the site suited your needs and you all enjoyed your break. The rock painting is a great activity for children and adults alike, so glad the children enjoyed.
As you say, we are blessed with great beaches and a lovely coastline to explore.
Many thanks.

Liked We were lucky to stay at this lovely quiet farm site for two days over May bank holiday Saturday & Sunday as many were all booked up. We were greeted by Jan who said park where you like and showed us where the amenities were. The showers were amazingly hot, powerful and clean also the toilets were spotless. The views were stunning.
The highlight was seeing their two baby foals Ronnie & Reggie, 1 week & 3 weeks old so cute along with very proud ex racing horse mums. This site was so perfect the station, Manorbier, was a 15 minute walk away, you can pay when you get on the train if not got a train app, that we stayed another 2 days so we could travel by train to Tenby and Saundersfoot rather than trying to park our Motorhome. We would highly recommend this site. Jan & her husband were lovely to talk too and informative on areas to visit. Should we ever visit Wales again would definitely stay again. Thank you Jan. PS you need levelling blocks although there are wooden ones on site to use. No Wi-Fi dongle needed.

From the manager: Thanks so much for your lovely review. It was a pleasure to have you both staying with us - and of course, your gorgeous dog too!
I am so glad you liked the site. As you say, it's a small site on the farm, surrounded by fields and animals - yet only a stones throw to the train station.
I hope you decide to visit Wales again one day and look forward to welcoming you once ahain.

Liked Absolutely lovely small campsite, toilets and showers spotlessly clean. Owner was really welcoming and there was a lovely atmosphere amongst the campers there. Our dog really loved the fully fenced in dog paddock where she could run free and the kids enjoyed the rock painting! We have put it in our list of sites to revisit. 😊
