  • Large motorhome pitches on a working farm with a dog exercise paddock
  • A five-minute drive from several beaches and 10 minutes from Tenby
  • Small and friendly site within the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park
Families, couples, dogs, hikers, surfers and climbers assemble… based in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, Camping at the Paddocks is a rural retreat just five minutes’ drive from a cluster of sandy south Pembrokeshire beaches. That’s not all, though, as the harbour town of Tenby is 10 minutes’ drive away too, with yet more sandy beaches, fish and chips and seal-spotting boat trips that visit Caldey Island. Not that you need to worry about driving anywhere; it's a 10-minute walk from the site to Manorbier train station (where it takes less than 15 minutes to reach Tenby and Pembroke) and 15 minutes to a bus stop. A small, friendly place this certainly is, too. The large hardstanding motorhome pitches (with a generous grass area) are set up on a working farm and well provided for, with toilets, hot gas showers, a washing-up area and a sheltered communal area where guests can put their feet up when the weather isn't playing nice. Dogs are also looked after, as there is an enclosed one-acre exercise paddock set just a short stroll away from the pitches where they can have a proper run around. This area is geared up for foodies, with plenty of family-friendly and dog-friendly eateries nearby. St Florence (25 minutes’ walk) and Manorbier (35 minutes) both have a pub and shop, and there’s a garden centre (15 minutes’ walk) with a café that serves everything from coffee to Sunday dinners. Main supermarkets can be tracked down in Tenby, and there's a petrol station five minutes’ drive away too. Nicely fed and watered, you might want to head to one of a handful of beaches five minutes’ drive away: Skrinkle Haven, Lydstep, Manorbier and Swanlake beaches. There are also activity centres, watersports and an adventure zoo set a short drive away.

What customers say

This is a small, peaceful campsite in a beautiful rural location, praised for its exceptionally clean facilities including spotless showers and toilets, and thoughtful touches. The hosts, particularly Jan, receive consistent acclaim for being friendly, helpful, and attentive. Guests appreciate the quiet atmosphere, lovely views, and proximity to the train station for exploring the local area. While some mention a lack of fridges or charging points, many consider these minor inconveniences in an otherwise highly recommended, well-maintained site.

Non-electric hardstanding and grass motorhome pitch

Liked Small quiet site, good size pitches.

Disliked Only cold water available to wash dishes. Didn't use the coin operated showers

From the manager: Thank you for your review. I am so pleased that you liked our quiet site and would recommend us and visit again. We look forward to welcoming you in the future.
I am not sure why you thought our showers are coin operated, they are free to use gas showers and we are often complimented on how good they are.
As you quite rightly point out, at the moment it is cold water only in the sink, with washing up liquid, scouring pad and cloth provided. However, we have to rely on our guests boiling their kettles to get rid of stubborn grease and stains.
Many thanks.

Would 💯 recommend and return to Jan’s site.

From the manager: Thank you so much for your review. I am so glad you enjoyed your stay with us and the showers hit the mark!
Having the train station close by does give the option of parking up so you can then relax and use the train, with no concerns about finding a parking space!
As you say, it's a beautiful area and we are so lucky to have beautiful beaches and castles in abundance!
We look forward to welcoming you back in the future.

Non-electric hardstanding and grass motorhome pitch

Liked Authentic & rustic campsite with no frills but everything you need. Loved how it was basic enough to make you really feel like your camping, no massive shower block or kitchen area. Just a chilled out space to relax and enjoy your surroundings. Jan was awesome! From pre comms to saying goodbye, she was super attentive and extremely welcoming. Loved this place and would highly recommend if you’re looking for somewhere authentic.

Disliked Nothing at all that I disliked.

Lots of information about the local area and the location was ideal for Tenby. Showers and toilets were cleaned everyday and Jan was lovely - even though we didn’t need her for anything because everything was so easy.
