Glamping in a five-metre bell tent

General

  • Quiet and roomy site on a hill above the village of Kilgetty
  • Overlooking the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park
  • Set on 10 acres of mature and well-kept grounds

Spectacular Welsh countryside scenery is viewable from all around Ryelands Holiday Park in south Wales, for it sits high on a hill above the comely town of Kilgetty and overlooks the lush landscape of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. Beaches? Scenic Saundersfoot is but a couple of miles away.

Space galore is all around the site: it's set in 10 acres of mature and well-kept grounds in which to lounge, laze or kick a ball about. (A small play area is also to hand for the kids.) The amenities block, cleaned every day, has free hot water to three showers and four sinks, as well as plenty of toilets for both ladies and gents. A big dishwashing sink is at the front of the building.

Supplies and suppers can be picked up at Kilgetty village less than half a mile away, which has takeaways and a fish and chip shop, a pub, a well-stocked supermarket and a post office. Trains and buses are in town too for exploring along the Pembrokeshire coast and further afield.

This is our second visit to Ryelands and we can't wait to go again, they is so much room that you can pitch wherever you want and not be on top of each other, we had a week without electric with 6 children and we just went back to basics and had campfires and outdoor games! Thoroughly enjoyed our break.
Lots of beautiful beaches no more than 5 mins drive.
Toilets and showers were lovely and clean and the wardens were warm and welcomming.

Open space, pick your own pitch, they supply fire pits free of charge, wood is cheap to buy, location is near folly farm and several beaches. Basic camping with freindly warden.

    Disliked:

Distance to toilets as they are located in caravan field a single loo in tent field would be fab other than that no dislikes

Good facilities, quiet location and helpful site staff. Field was fairly flat and well maintained. Nice that they supply fire pits for guests to use.

About 3miles to the coast, so easy access to the beaches around Saundersfoot. Small supermarket in the nearby village which also has a few pubs and a curry house (not used on this visit but has decent reviews).

I just wanted to email to say what a fantastic stay we had at your caravan park. It’s such a refreshing change not to have a load of rules thrown at you and to be allowed to truly relax. Also the toilet block area has to be one of the most well attended to and clean toilet blocks I have ever seen...so fab well done to Anna and Jon!

Great to be able to choose our own pitch, have a fire, listen to music and to not be overcharged!!
This was our second visit to you and we will definitely be coming back!!!!
