Ryelands Holiday Park: Glamping in a five-metre bell tent

General

  • Quiet and roomy site on a hill above the village of Kilgetty
  • Overlooking the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park
  • Set on 10 acres of mature and well-kept grounds

Spectacular Welsh countryside scenery is viewable from all around Ryelands Holiday Park in south Wales, for it sits high on a hill above the comely town of Kilgetty and overlooks the lush landscape of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. Beaches? Scenic Saundersfoot is but a couple of miles away.

Space galore is all around the site: it's set in 10 acres of mature and well-kept grounds in which to lounge, laze or kick a ball about. (A small play area is also to hand for the kids.) The amenities block, cleaned every day, has free hot water to three showers and four sinks, as well as plenty of toilets for both ladies and gents. A big dishwashing sink is at the front of the building.

Supplies and suppers can be picked up at Kilgetty village less than half a mile away, which has takeaways and a fish and chip shop, a pub, a well-stocked supermarket and a post office. Trains and buses are in town too for exploring along the Pembrokeshire coast and further afield.

It's a basic site but well presented with decent hot showers, and good pitches. There are great dog walks straight from the site. What more do you need?

Friendly staff, lots of space and provided fire pits on request. Good level pitches for tents, toilet block close by with drinking water and washing facilities. Freezer for ice blocks. We had a lovely time and would definitely return

    Disliked:

Playground was small and limited, no on site shop or other food facilities. The field was very good but a collection of old furniture and wood in the corner of the field was a concern with the nearby children.

Clean, peaceful site. Shower block is very basic, but clean and plenty of hot water. Great location within distance of lots of great beaches and villages. The majority of caravaners here are season site holders, the few we met were very friendly and helpful .
Children’s play areas looked good .
Several good food options nearby, the local Chinese takeaway, the Golden Dragon exceptionally good . Decent co-op (although pricey) for all your basic groceries is a mile away.
