West Wales Camping Pods: View

General

  • Well-maintained camping pods 10 miles from the coast
  • Oakwood Theme Park and Folly Farm within a 20-minute drive
  • Pods for a family of four, with kitchen, barbecue and private hot tub

Camping pods in Carmarthenshire – and how pretty (and well-priced) they are too.

West Wales Camping Pods is a small, friendly and most welcoming site on a working farm, with pods sleeping up to two adults and two children (in a double bed and two camp beds), on an area of roughly four by six metres for each pitch.

Each very well-kept and clean pod has its own adjacent car parking space, a table and chairs, a patio with a barbecue chiminea, heating, and a little kitchen area with a small fridge, a kettle and crockery. And while all of this is most handy, the highlight is still to come – because outside on the decking area each pod has its own private hot tub for up to four people.

Facilities are sorted in the shower pod which has a basin, shower and loo. And as it's a working farm, there are plenty of animals around for little podders to see.

Off site, West Wales Camping Pods is on the Pembrokeshire/Carmarthenshire border and about 10 miles from the coast at Amroth.

Please note

Dogs are allowed in the pods as long as they are washed and dried before entering the unit.

Absolutely stunning views from the pod! Added bonus was the hot tub which was ready for our arrival, loved the idea of the converted caravan with a huge communal kitchen and each door had the number of your pod for your own bathroom! Clean throughout and owners/hosts was absolutely lovely! Easy remote check in/check out and our dog absolutely had the time of his life! Wasn’t too far out from shops and takeaways 16 mins top! We would 100% be back again! A perfect little getaway for our anniversary weekend! Thank you!!!

We arrived around 6pm and the lady who greeted us was welcoming and showed us around despite it being very dark and rainy. She had put the heater on in the cabin which was very thoughtful. The bed was very comfortable, and the pod immaculately clean with everything you need. The hot tub was great and very easy to use! Facilities were plentiful, lovely and clean. Each pod gets their own toilet and shower (away from the pod). We loved our stay on the views from the pod and hot tub were stunning. Great value for money and so cheap compared to other places offering the same. Would definitely return and recommend.

We really enjoyed the stay. Our pod was really clean and had all the essentials available, even an outdoor tap. The pods are set in a position that gives you privacy to enjoy your food outdoor or the hot tub, which was really nice. We’ve also greatly appreciated that each pod has their own private facilities (which was well maintained and spacious). The area is really quiet and we couldn’t hear the other guests.
The owners are really friendly and helpful.

We had such a lovely stay in the pod! It was supplied better than we expected, had a mini fridge + kettle, tables and chairs, crockery etc. We had a private bathroom which was great and there was space to cook inside if the weather wasn’t great. It was a beautiful space and you get a great view over the fields from the hot tub. Perfect place to stay if you want to be tucked out of the way. Would love to stay again ☺️

    Disliked:

Not an issue for us but the bed was a small double so just something to bare in mind if booking to stay ☺️

Local attractions

There's plenty to do in west Wales, particularly around its fine sandy beaches: too many to mention, but Wiseman's Bridge, Saundersfoot and Coppet are all popular stops. And the Carmarthenshire section of the Wales Coastal Path is very much worth a look, as is utterly beaut Carmarthen Bay.

A fair bit of family fun is around too, at Oakwood Theme Park, the Blue Lagoon Waterpark, Heatherton World of Adventures and Folly Farm, while all ages should like flowing along for a look at the cascades of Cenarth Falls.

See also the peaks and prehistoric trails of the nearby Preseli mountains just over the border in Pembrokeshire, and take a trip around the town of Narberth to have a poke around its shops, art galleries and the Narberth Museum.

Must see

  • National Wool Museum (15.1 miles)
  • Pembrokeshire Coast National Park (17.2 miles)
  • Pembroke Castle (17.6 miles)

National Trust

  • Tudor Merchant's House (13.7 miles)
