Camping pods in Carmarthenshire – and how pretty (and well-priced) they are too.
West Wales Camping Pods is a small, friendly and most welcoming site on a working farm, with pods sleeping up to two adults and two children (in a double bed and two camp beds), on an area of roughly four by six metres for each pitch.
Each very well-kept and clean pod has its own adjacent car parking space, a table and chairs, a patio with a barbecue chiminea, heating, and a little kitchen area with a small fridge, a kettle and crockery. And while all of this is most handy, the highlight is still to come – because outside on the decking area each pod has its own private hot tub for up to four people.
Facilities are sorted in the shower pod which has a basin, shower and loo. And as it's a working farm, there are plenty of animals around for little podders to see.
Off site, West Wales Camping Pods is on the Pembrokeshire/Carmarthenshire border and about 10 miles from the coast at Amroth.

Local attractions
There's plenty to do in west Wales, particularly around its fine sandy beaches: too many to mention, but Wiseman's Bridge, Saundersfoot and Coppet are all popular stops. And the Carmarthenshire section of the Wales Coastal Path is very much worth a look, as is utterly beaut Carmarthen Bay.
A fair bit of family fun is around too, at Oakwood Theme Park, the Blue Lagoon Waterpark, Heatherton World of Adventures and Folly Farm, while all ages should like flowing along for a look at the cascades of Cenarth Falls.
See also the peaks and prehistoric trails of the nearby Preseli mountains just over the border in Pembrokeshire, and take a trip around the town of Narberth to have a poke around its shops, art galleries and the Narberth Museum.
