What customers say

This is a well-maintained, quiet, adult-only, dog-friendly campsite praised for its peaceful atmosphere and beautiful countryside location. Visitors consistently highlight the exceptional friendliness and helpfulness of owner Simon, along with the spotless, modern toilet and shower facilities. Spacious, level pitches and a secure dog walking area are also popular. While some minor road noise is noted, the site is considered a great base for exploring local attractions. The owner has addressed concerns about shower button duration and outdoor lighting.

Electric optional hardstanding and grass touring pitch

Liked Welcoming host - Simon. Met us on arrival, gave us a tour and explained housekeeping. Clean showers and toilets. A smaller site, but spacious pitches - just how we like it - no overcrowding and not busy/loud. Very peaceful. Only stayed the night, as had the weekend off work - but looking to book again for a longer stay. Close to Llandeilo and Carmarthen and we are looking forward to returning to be closer to one of our favourite beaches - Llansteffan.

Local attractions

The Towy Valley is home to a clutch of excellent Welsh sights, from the hilltop Dinefwr Castle, a 15-minute drive away (climb up to the walls for stunning views over the countryside), to the sweeping estuary and castle at the pretty village of Laugharne (half an hour). Another must-see castle, Carreg Cennen, sits on the top of a limestone precipice around a 20-minute drive away, with views across the Brecon Beacons National Park; get your hiking boots on for walks around this area, one of Wales’ most postcard-worthy, passing by waterfalls and ponds enroute. (Still more appetite for castles? Drive to Dryslwyn Castle in five minutes – or hike over in about 45 minutes.) If you’re feeling lazy, drive to Carmarthen (20 minutes from the site) instead to jump on the Gwili Steam Railway’s antique train or dip in and out of the boutiques. Love a legend? Locals reckon Merlin was born in this market town – there are even the remains of an old oak tree named after the wizard in the foyer of St. Peter’s Civic Hall.
