Wake up and walk the Isle of Anglesey Coastal Path, or perhaps challenge yourself to a local hill summit. Based on the northwest coast of Anglesey, you’ll have lots of choice over how to spend your time from Llain Ffynnon Camping. A morning brew over the site's sea views? Taking the 15-minute walk down the closest beach for a quick dip in the sea? Or perhaps you’d rather go for a dog walk towards the mountains (after all, dogs are welcome here too). You’ll need a good pair of shoes, that’s for sure. One of the big perks of this site is that it’s easy to get to many places on foot. The local pub in Church Bay is only half an hour’s walk away. It’s also on the way to the rockpools at Porth Swtan beach (40 minutes’ walk) or the seafood restaurant and café close to the shore. You’ll get an idea of the splendid walks around these parts just from glancing at the views from this site. Based quite high up, Llain Ffynnon Camping doesn’t just have views over the northwest coast – you'll catch Snowdonia's mountains, Ireland, the Isle of Man and the northwest of England on a clear day too. The site is only a short walk from access points to several well-maintained public footpaths, including one with access to the Mynydd y Garn summit. If you need to pack some snacks and sandwiches before you go, there are two local food shops in Llanfaethlu or Tregele, 10 minutes’ drive from the site. Please note that this is a pop-up site, so there are only cold-water shower and toilet facilities available.

Liked: Beautiful location and amazing sunsets. The owners were fantastic, very knowledgeable about the local area and made some great recommendations for walks and places to visit.
Toilet and shower facilities were perfect and cleaned to a very high standard.

Family run campsite exceptionally kept , toilets are very clean and always stocked up and cleaned couple times a day washing up area was great had all the stuff to wash plates cutlery ect even had fresh farm eggs for a very great price and they tasted amazing

Family are amazing very welcoming and always stopped to have a chat and asked what we had been up to off site and told us places to visit very knowledgeable about the area just such lovely people even when my partner had a bad tooth they kept checking on him to see how he was even had a phone call the day after we got home checking if he had got his tooth sorted

We stayed for 5 nights and had an amazing time cant wait to go back absolutely amazing place and amazing people, if I could rate higher I would 100 star rating

Liked: Lots of space with good views all around. Perfect for a stopover or weekend away.

Disliked: Not many toilets (3) for the number of people the field can take. Often people queuing. However the toilets were really well equipped, with a shower & sink so better than you would normally expect from a pop-up site.

Liked: Clean facilities, although basic. Perfect for a one night stay! Beautiful views of the sea and holyhead mountain. Star gazing at night was phenomenal.

Disliked: Not close to many shops (other than corner shops) so make sure to shop beforehand!

Liked: The views were stunning, we were able to sit and relax and watch the most gorgeous sunset it was just beautiful!

Disliked: There are only three toilets available on camp, when we stayed the 2nd night it was very busy with a large group of DoE boys as well as the rest of the camp being full so it was a small wait when you went to the toilet which wasn't too bad as I just stood watching the gorgeous sunset.

Local attractions

You might first spot the Goleudŷ Ynysoedd y Moelrhoniaid (The Skerries Lighthouse) from the Isle of Anglesey Coastal Path. Up close, after a chartered boat ride from Holyhead (25 minutes’ drive), the view is even better, and the birdwatching just as splendid. The seabird colony at Cemlyn North Wales Wildlife Trust Reserve (10 minutes’ drive) is pretty spectacular to watch too. A shingle ridge, lagoon and plants such as sea kale and sea campion are part of the highlight reel at this place – just the thing if you're a fan of spying on wildlife. Those of you who are planning on spending a lot of your downtime beside the sea will be happy to find that there are a number of beaches that are easy to get to from Llain Ffynnon Camping. In fact, the National Trust’s Traeth Ynys y Fydlyn is half an hour’s walk away, and there are caves and rockpools to rummage around down there. Further out, other gorgeous beach locations include Cemlyn Bay (15 minutes’ drive), Porth Trwyn (10 minutes) and Traeth Porth Wen Beach (15 minutes).

Arrivals and departures

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.
Please pick any available pitch on arrival.

Changes to your holiday

Bookings cannot be amended within 1 day(s) of arrival.

Dogs

Dogs must be kept on leads and supervised at all times.
