Adventurous types, unite, and make your way to Bryn Gloch Caravan and Camping Park. This is the type of place where holidaymakers can hike all day long, and it's peaceful too, on the banks of the river Gwyrfai with views of the Eryri (Snowdonia) mountains and the north Wales countryside. There are walking routes directly from the site – good news for those with dogs or a lust for adventure. One of the UK’s longest heritage railways, the Ffestiniog & Welsh Highland Railways, passes through the site on its 25-mile journey past the foot of Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon). You might want to board it yourself Caernarfon (10 minutes’ drive) and see if you can spot your patch of land as you pass by. That’s after you’ve experienced one of the boat trips that run along the Menai Strait from the quayside below Caernarfon Castle, of course. There’s a very generous serving of facilities at Bryn Gloch Caravan and Camping Park, from heated bathrooms and wifi to playgrounds and a games room. The pitches are spacious, giving you plenty of opportunities to soak in the scenery.

Liked Nice views from grass pitches - quite quiet as not busy. Access to river is nice has a walk in the cool water

Disliked The washing up areas are small in the shepherds hits. No would be better in a separate area

Llywelyn shepherd's hut (no pets, twin)

Liked Very clean hut, basic but comfy which is exactly what you want from “camping”. It’s a well-maintained holiday park with excellent amenities. Super friendly and helpful staff also.

Liked Great location views were great shop was great for the essentials though theres is a shop 5 mins driveaway staff were amazing having the food truck and drinks bar at weekends is great toilet showers and laundry facilities were excellent we will be back again and the weather was on our side

Liked Loved our first trip to Bryn Gloch loads of clean showers, toilets and loads of water points spread out over the site. Other campers were friendly. We were pitched in field 6 where the river flows just behind the some of the tents which we found lovely and relaxing hearing the water. A few different areas for children to play. Friendly staff. Lovely and quiet during the quiet hours. We arrived after the reception had closed but easy to follow instructions and clearly marked map to point us in the right direction.

Disliked If I have to be picky the food van is only currently open Fri-Sun but the site was quite quiet when we left on Monday so no need for the van to be open I suppose.

Liked One of the best campsite I've ever been to. The whole capsite was exceptionally clean with spacious showers and toilets.I liked how all the fields been divided.
