I would stay again if in the area. Level pitches
Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch
Liked The Walled Garden is delightful- plenty space to pitch on...pick your own spot...
You should be a self contained van to be here as no facilities- but...there is one loo, and shower for emergency 😉...
And you can walk round the paxton house grounds and walk down by the river...
Disliked No warden on site so felt more like an aire than a commercial site -- just slightly conscious of that as a female solo traveller.

Would definitely use this site again.
Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch
Liked Well laid out site with generous pitches. Electric points and water close to all pitches. Fruit trees all around the perimeter wall which we enjoyed picking and eating. The 2 wet room / showers and toilets were very good as there were no more than 10 units on site whilst we were there for 5 nights. The access to and from the site is excellent and it is only 3 miles from the A1. Easy to get to Berwick on Tweed. Good recycling facilities.
Disliked The 80 acres of land to walk on is optimistic due to grazing sheep, fences and gates. TV signal OK on the centre pitches but around the back wall where we first set up (pitch 20) the signal was terrible. Only BBC and some obscure channels available, no ITV, channel 4 or 5.

Could be really good but sloppy Maintenance just lets it down
Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch
Liked Nice site, lots of lovely walks around. Easy, friendly check in.
Disliked The site has 2 shower rooms, each with toilet and basin. During our stay one of the toilets wasn’t working and the toilet was left in a horrible state, the main refuse bin was overfull and some of the pitches are quite weedy.
Could definitely do with a bit more maintenance.
A few miles out of town with a negligible bus service so you need to use your vehicle.
