  • Adults-only site on a welcoming Somerset farm
  • Cheddar Gorge and Caves 20 minutes’ drive; Burnham-on-Sea 10 minutes
  • Pubs within 20 minutes’ walk and a village store within 10 minutes
Time for some serious adults-only downtime in gorgeous and peaceful Somerset countryside? Haste ye to family-run Daisy Farm, a pop-up campsite 10 minutes’ drive from Highbridge in Somerset, which has simple facilities including a shower and loo (and please note, no electricity). The grass pitches are on a fourth-generation, family-run working farm, with a dairy herd grazing right next to the camping field and curious donkeys to befriend. Dogs are welcome, and your canine companions can look forward to lots of exercise on country walks. Please just keep them under tight control while on site. There’s a village store 10 minutes’ walk away selling artisan produce, but you don’t have to stray that far for a taste of Somerset, as the site owners serve up their own delicious cream teas (please order in advance) featuring homemade cakes, jam and scones as well as local cream. You can also buy free-range eggs and vegetables fresh from the farm to add to your alfresco barbecue feasts. Fancy a change of scenery? Leave the car behind at your pitch and amble along the quiet Somerset lanes to a couple of local pubs (both around 20 minutes’ walk) that both serve outstanding food.

What customers say

Daisy Farm offers a peaceful and quiet rural escape with friendly, helpful owners. Visitors praise the immaculate and clean facilities, including toilets, showers, and washing-up areas, with an updated block recently added. The charming on-site farm shop is a popular feature, offering essentials and local produce. Guests appreciate the spacious pitches and the delightful presence of donkeys. While some noted the proximity to the M5, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive, with many vowing to return.

Non-electric grass pitch

Liked A pleasant farm house type location with a lovely spacious nicely mowed field flanked by donkeys and cows. Greeted shortly after arriving by the owner who was a very nice young lady with her young daugther. All very relaxed and unhurried. All the facilities were maintained to a high standard. Oudles of super hot water for bathing and washing up...the shower positioned alongside the toilet in the block of two was very near to perfect...it was clean, large and solid shower cubilcle with a good range of shower gels and soaps with a shower head providing a massive flow of water and as hot as you would ever wish for - bliss!
You are in the countryside but only 15 minutes away from a large Asda in Burnham on Sea should you require any supplies.

Non-electric grass pitch

Liked Large grass pitches with donkeys in the field! A bit of confusion over which entrance to use as there is also a CAMC site at the same location. However we booked online with no problems and were made to feel very welcome.

Disliked The road to the site is quite narrow.

Electric grass tent or motorhome pitch

Liked A very spacious pretty place to stay, it’s the kind of place we love staying, in a field connected to nature with beautiful views and wildlife. Toilet and shower facilities provided too if needed.

Disliked Although we appreciate it’s a working farm and this is no slur on the place at all. This time of year they are mucking the fields which to be honest the noise and smell of them continuously filling the tankers next to us got unbearable and we had to leave a day early. I think maybe a bit of warning should be given to people staying at this time.

From the manager: Hi, thanks so much for your review and for your kind comments about the site.

We’re really sorry your stay happened to fall on one of the few days we were muck spreading, which can be a bit noisier than normal. It’s something that only happens for a few days each spring, and most of the time the site is very peaceful, as other reviews mention.

We do apologise that this affected your visit, and we’ll make sure to give guests a heads-up in future if any similar work is planned.

Thanks again for your feedback — we really appreciate it.

Annabel and Austin.
