Campsite

  • Adults-only site on a welcoming Somerset farm
  • Cheddar Gorge and Caves 20 minutes’ drive; Burnham-on-Sea 10 minutes
  • Pubs within 20 minutes’ walk and a village store within 10 minutes
Time for some serious adults-only downtime in gorgeous and peaceful Somerset countryside? Haste ye to family-run Daisy Farm, a site 10 minutes’ drive from Highbridge in Somerset, which has simple facilities including a couple of showers and toilets, plus a washing-up sink. The grass pitches are on a fourth-generation, family-run working farm, with a dairy herd grazing right next to the camping field and curious donkeys to befriend. Dogs are welcome, and your canine companions can look forward to lots of exercise on country walks. Please just keep them under tight control while on site. Fancy a change of scenery? Leave the car behind at your pitch and amble along the quiet Somerset lanes to a couple of local pubs (both around 20 minutes’ walk) that both serve outstanding food. There’s also a village store 10 minutes’ walk away selling artisan produce. The coast is not far away either: from Daisy Farm Certificated Location, it's a 10-minute drive to Burnham-on-Sea, where there's a long, sandy beach and a golf course. The Cheddar Gorge and Caves, on the edge of the Mendip Hills National Landscape, are a 20-minute drive north.

Liked Spacious pitches that are predominantly flat. Close to amenities with clean toilets and showers. Just one washing up station but it’s a small site so didn’t have to wait long but if site was busier that could be a problem. Great you can have a campfire at your pitch. Lovely sunrise and sunset. Weather was fab on our visit which helps. Lush the donkeys are there, but forgot to ask their names.. in the morning when we were leaving Annabel and her little girl came to check we were happy with our stay and she was very friendly. We will return for sure.

Disliked Couldn’t access wifi on our pitch but that didn’t matter to us. We were having a break.

Primitive grass campsite

Liked A pleasant farm house type location with a lovely spacious nicely mowed field flanked by donkeys and cows. Greeted shortly after arriving by the owner who was a very nice young lady with her young daugther. All very relaxed and unhurried. All the facilities were maintained to a high standard. Oudles of super hot water for bathing and washing up...the shower positioned alongside the toilet in the block of two was very near to perfect...it was clean, large and solid shower cubilcle with a good range of shower gels and soaps with a shower head providing a massive flow of water and as hot as you would ever wish for - bliss!
You are in the countryside but only 15 minutes away from a large Asda in Burnham on Sea should you require any supplies.

Primitive grass campsite

Liked Large grass pitches with donkeys in the field! A bit of confusion over which entrance to use as there is also a CAMC site at the same location. However we booked online with no problems and were made to feel very welcome.

Disliked The road to the site is quite narrow.
