What customers say
Clapton Farm is a small, charming campsite with a peaceful, natural setting, featuring a stream, ducks, and geese. Visitors consistently praise the exceptionally friendly and welcoming owners who go out of their way to make stays memorable, often including farm tours and animal interactions. Facilities, including toilets and showers, are noted as clean. While the site is ideally suited for families and dog owners, some guests mention occasional noise from a nearby road and railway line, though this is generally considered manageable.

Electric optional grass pitch
Liked Loved the Vista and location, very tranquil and relaxing. Lovely helpful hosts. The stream and small paddock for the dogs was an absolute bonus. Small site so very quiet and chilled. There is the odd train and occasional traffic noise, all very quiet at night, we are the worlds lightest sleepers and we had the best sleep at this sight. Complete bonus, use of washing machine for donation towards costs and large toilet and shower so you could dry yourself and get dressed comfortably, sadly I missed out on the spiders, all very clean. Wayford Woods were fab and the Indian Runner Ducks were adorable. We spotted a fox, buzzards and a goshawk at the campsite. Can't recommend it enough, we will definitely be back.
Disliked Should have stayed longer!

Electric optional grass pitch

Basic Good value overall, railway road nearby but not a problem for us
Electric optional grass pitch
Liked Nice site next to a large brook, facilities basic but ok a number of hook ups and one toilet with wash basin and shower for males and one for females.
Not far from main railway line but our son was very interested in this and it's far from constant,
Good location for travelling to a large number of locations, railway station not far in crewkerne where there are shops.
Chard not very far either.
Disliked B Road near by, but not very busy and we live next to a much busier road.
My wife was not keen on some spiders in the shower room, I removed them for her !
