What customers say

This campsite is highly recommended for families with young children, praised for its extensive park activities, particularly the after-hours access which allows exclusive use of facilities. Visitors highlight the friendly and helpful staff, clean amenities, and good value for money. While the park excels in entertainment, some guests found the campsite facilities basic, citing issues with toilet locks and shower warmth. Despite minor drawbacks, the park's offerings consistently lead to positive family experiences and repeat visits.

Electric grass motorhome pitch

Liked Proximity to Avon Valley Adventure Park is great and access to the parks non-manned attractions was good fun. The park itself is nice, lots of activities, family friendly.

Disliked I’m not sure more than 1 day at the park itself is necessary and for us it may have been better to stay off site overnight. The idea of camping here is great but not sure they’ve quite pulled it off for motorhomes/campervans as of yet. However, ‘basecamp’ looked much nicer when we wandered by and we heard great things about the pod with hot tub from a family staying there (sounded fab).

Treating the motorhome area as a stand alone campsite (minus £17 park entry fee for 2 days during summer x 3 people = £51, you’re paying £149 for 2 nights camping)
You basically stay in an extension of the car park which isnt desirable with young children. More than £70 per night seems very expensive when comparing to ‘all singing and dancing’ holiday parks we’ve been to within this trip.

Toilets/showers could use some attention/improvements, particularly the toilets doors which are difficult to close and lock.

Electric grass motorhome pitch

Liked The park had alot to offer and my 2.5 year old loved it.
The park was run down in terms of fencing, sheds, old containers around the place for storage but the fun my boy and memories made a family will last forever.

Disliked We stayed in our motorhome section, the toilets blocked alot during our stay, and the gravel put in as the hard standing was big stone and prettt dusty as it was a dry spell we had.

Electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch (large)

Liked We loved our stay at Avon Valley! Amazing that campers can use the park after hours. All the staff we dealt with were so lovely and helpful! The facilities on the park are great, lots of hand washing stations, water refills points and an absolute bonus that everything (expect food and quads) is free!! The kiddos loved their stay from start to finish! The campsite kitchen was ideal as we’d forgotten our mini bbq! If you’re camping and visiting the park, it’s perfect as you can pop back to camp for lunch! The slip and slide and silent disco were a HUGE hit with us and the kiddos! I personally loved the pig racing! The time table of activity’s was super! We also stayed the weekend of the balloon fiesta, such a good view!

Disliked The campsite its self is ok! The facilities are very basic and “rustic” The toilets blocked twice on our stay, I just don’t think they could keep up with the amount of people there. No fault of the park, but most of the campers had ZERO respect for the quiet hours of 9pm - 6am. People still up shouting and partying at 12! If you’re used to a quiet night sleep (like we are!) the train the other side of the campsite goes all night.

Electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked The park facilities bring joy to children every day, which is truly commendable.

Disliked The toilets and shower facilities need significant improvement. The restroom doors cannot be locked for a long time, and I have witnessed many awkward situations where people are using the restroom while others open the door. This is completely unacceptable. The shower facilities are too basic. If you want guests to return, improvement is absolutely necessary.

Bell tent (hot tub)

Liked The tents were really spacious and beds comfortable... Having the hot tub was great and very private. Also having access to the park up until 9pm was an added bonus!

Disliked The only thing we were not as keen on were the toilets and shower. The shower was either scalding or only slightly warm. That is our only dislike

Explorer safari tent

Liked After hours access to park and the bar was great. Food on site was delicious. Was great to hire explorer tent so didn't have to set up our own tent and beds etc.

Disliked Facilities (toilets and showers) were very basic. Toilets in Base Camp overflowed but we're quickly sorted.

Explorer safari tent

Liked Entry to the park 24hrs is amazing, and makes this place unique. Amazing for our kids aged 4&6 yrs. Camping and park felt really safe and relaxed. Great area with lots of amenities close by. Flourish farm shop (which is basically next door) is superb.
Tent was great quality.
Bar food was tasty and priced well.
Lovely riverside walk.

Disliked Rustic toilets kept blocking however you could use the toilets inside the park so not a major issue.
One shower was cold all the time which limited us to one shower however never struggled to get a shower when we needed it.

From the manager: Thank you so much for your lovely and thoughtful review! We're delighted to hear that your family enjoyed your stay and made the most of the 24hr park access, it’s something we’re really proud to offer our campers. It’s great to hear your little ones had fun and that you felt safe and relaxed throughout your stay.

We're also glad you enjoyed the tent, riverside walk, and nearby gems like Flourish farm shop, we agree, it’s a fantastic spot!

Thank you for your feedback about the rustic toilets and shower. We’re aware of the issue and are working to improve these facilities as part of our ongoing upgrades. In the meantime, we’re happy you found the park toilets and other options convenient.

We hope to welcome you back again soon for more adventures at Avon Valley!

From ancient Roman baths to elegant Georgian architecture, the city of Bath (20 minutes’ drive) is well worth a visit. Check out the collections at the Victoria Art Gallery and the Holburne Museum (keep an eye on their calendar for interactive workshops), or follow in the footsteps of Jane Austen, who lived here for five years in the early 1800s. Explore the legacy of Isambard Kingdom Brunel in Bristol (25 minutes), where the famed Victorian engineer built the vertiginous Clifton Suspension Bridge and the passenger liner SS Great Britain. Bristol is also known for its street art, which includes Banksy’s take on The Girl with the Pearl Earring. In the Mendip Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Cheddar Gorge (45 minutes) is a limestone gorge with guided tours of subterranean caves. There are more limestone caverns at Wookey Hole (45 minutes), which have a millennia-long history ranging from Neanderthals to Celt tribes and the Romans.
