What could beat a glamping holiday in Dorset? A glamping holiday in massive safari tents on a gorgeous rural spot near Dorchester, that’s what – and one with spectacular views over the countryside to boot. Even better, this is a group-friendly site, with safari pods that can be moved around to make private areas for family or friends. Once in your spacious and insulated safari tent, all is about relaxing and chilling. Each one has private showers and toilet facilities, a living room with comfy sofas, a dining table for meals with your mates, and a fridge-freezer in the kitchenette. Drift on to the verandah to chill and ponder those glorious Dorset panoramas, and outside get the barbecue going for a slap-up feast or huddle up around the firepit for a bit of stargazing when the night sky is clear. A Max Events activity centre is also on site, offering weekend assault courses, archery, axe throwing and quad biking among many other entertainments; they all entail an extra cost. When booking the glampsite, please bear in mind that the weekends can get busy and occasionally noisy with adult groups during the day and night.

Reception is unmanned after 7 p.m.. Please inform the site while on your way there should you expect to arrive after this time, so that the team can provide information about your unit/pitch.
If making a fire, the fuel, logs and coal have to be purchased on site.
Guests are advised to bring a good quality torch with them as parts of the site are unlit.
No naked flames are allowed inside the hired accommodation units.

Liked: Very welcoming, we came early over Easter so we were the only campers there. The hosts were great, upgraded us to the biggest tents and provided everything we could need.

Liked: We had a wonderful 3 night stay. *exceeded my expectations *beautiful views over the countryside *puts the glam in glamping *hosts Jax and Phil were so accommodating and kind, they were wonderful.

Disliked: The tent we had didn't have any toilet facilities, (there are tents that do have their own). The facilities were a bit further than I would have liked. The walk there was over uneven ground, and it was very dark at night. My youngest daughter walked into a pole in the dark and hurt herself. It wasn't serious, but it could have been. If we'd had one of the tents which had it own bathroom facilities it would have been better. But it didn't detract from the fact that we had a wonderful stay and will probably come back.

Liked: We just got back from a 3 night's stay at this truly stunning place. it's ideal for families and children. Our two young girls enjoyed every second, the hot tub was a huge thumbs up, especially at night when it got a bit chilly. the tents are new, spacious, and spotless with a view looking over the forest and countryside. our hosts Jax and Phil were very helpful and meet our every needs. thank you for making our stay memorable. we will definitely be back next year. Booking terms and conditions

Admission

Admission is only permitted after registering at reception.
Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.

Arrivals and departures

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.

Changes to your holiday

Bookings cannot be amended within 28 day(s) of arrival.

General

Bookings must not be for more than 14 consecutive nights.
Discount cards and gift vouchers cannot be applied to bookings made via Pitchup.com.
Entertainment and activities are available between 05/01 and 18/12.
In the event of a complaint, please speak to reception immediately. Complaints which are not brought to the management's attention during your stay cannot be dealt with once you have left the site.
Quiet hours must be respected between 11 p.m. and 8 a.m..
Refunds within the indicated cancellation period are only possible if the site is able to relet your unit/pitch.
The management reserves the right to deny access or terminate the stay of those guests whose behaviour is deemed unsuitable. No refunds will be offered.
The site is not liable for any refund in the event of force majeure.

Hired accommodation

Hired accommodation: £250.00 damage/cleanliness/bracelet deposit is required on arrival and will be refunded on departure after inspection of your unit should no damage/losses be found.
No naked flames are allowed inside the hired accommodation units.
Your unit must be left clean and tidy; a fine of £50.00 will be charged for unclean units upon departure.
