What customers say
This is a well-managed campsite with excellent facilities, praised for its cleanliness, friendly staff, and beautiful views. Guests enjoyed the swimming pools, playground, and convenient location near Charmouth beach. Some visitors noted road noise and that pitches on terraces could be steep or cramped. The cost of swimming pool access was also mentioned.

Food was good.
Use of showers/toilets/washing up.
Clean camp site, well looked after.
Disliked It’s cash only for most things including evening entertainment such as bingo with no cash point on site.

Lovely site but don’t pitch a caravan in the grass pitches - not safe
Electric grass touring pitch
Liked Fantastic small, family friendly site. Everything you need but without the craziness of corporate style camp sites. The shop, bar, swimming pools, soft play and gym are very well run by the loveliest people you could ever wish to meet - can’t do enough for you. You book the pool and gym which means it is never packed out which is also great. Toilets, showers and washing up areas are good
It really reminded me of camping in the late 60s/early 70s at my Nan s caravan at a site where everything was so safe and happy
But by far the best part about this site is the kind and friendly people in the shop, bar, pool and gym area and reception.
Disliked The reason we will not be able to return with our extended family-
The grass pitches are up a very steep hill which is terraced. We were forced to pitch our camper van right on the borough of one of the hills which felt unsafe as the guy in charge of this (Phil) has it set in his head exactly how each pitch must be set up. He is absolutely insistent that each can be located exactly the same way with the doors facing the same way throughout the site. Bad enough with our van but we had chocs so crossed our fingers the ground would stay dry.
But our son and family came with their towing caravan. Try as we might, us and lots of other campers could only pitch the van safely with the door facing us not away from us. It was past 4 when they arrived so Phil was not around. We had a lovely day at the beach the next day and came home tired and ready to feed and shower the children. However, Phil on his quad bike had decreed the awning had to be taken down and the van moved around. He did bring someone to help. But to cut a long story short, the evening was spent risking life and limb taking down the awning and moving the van so the door faced the other way. The health and safety of campers and equipment was of no consequence to Phil. There are much easier ways to ensure no one encroaches in anyone else’s pitch which we calmly discussed with him. But he would not have it. He genuinely forced us to abandon safety, take down the awning which unfortunately then got damaged and move the van. I counted up those at risk around us (never mind if there was a domino effect because we were all on a hill) and we were risking three other caravans and two tents in the immediate vicinity as well as approx 16 people - 11 of whom were children. It was truly incredulous and people watched in horror as this debacle took place. And a few days later it happened again to someone else.
I cannot understand why the health and safety of people and equipment is not paramount. The whole thing was like the Rhod Gilbert sketch of the cheese and pickle sandwich on a train. Phil is afraid that if someone else comes and sees you have encroached on another pitch slightly they may want a bigger pitch - ridiculous as no one was encroaching on anyone and there are very much better and safer ways of sorting this out. But he will not have it.
You cannot camp as extended family facing each other, therefore, and shelters and gazebos are not allowed. You cannot be guaranteed pitches together even if you are on the same booking. So camping as extended family meeting for meals etc is very difficult which is so so sad
We absolutely loved the site and the people (Phil is a nice guy too but when he isn’t being daft!),but we can’t come again unless it is just the two of us for the above reasons

A marvellous weekend
Camping pod
Liked The setting was beautiful, with amazing countryside views. The pitch was spacious. Our ‘pod’ had comfortable beds & there was only a short walk to washing up/ shower/ toilet facilities which were excellent & very clean. The staff were all polite & helpful
Disliked It was a little annoying to have to book & pay for the swimming pools, and the online system was difficult. However the pools & changing facilities were excellent

Liked Views were beautiful (especially from dog exercise area).
Showers and toilets always clean and stocked.
Food service and quality in restaurant brilliant.
Lovely dog friendly terrace and indoor seating area for food.
All staff were lovely and helpful.
Swimming pools were lovely and modern and staff always cleaning the floors. Jacuzzi and sauna area. Lots of sun loungers at the outdoor pool and a few at the indoor pool.
Can see the pool from the terrace and watch in on swimmers (my husband sat outside with the dogs whilst we swam)
Shop had all the basics needed.
Beautiful big park for the kids.
Great little soft play for rainy afternoons with comfy sofas.
Evening and daytime entertainment was great! (Wish we’d known about bingo being cash only as nowhere to get cash on site, also games room is cash only)
Quiet after 10pm 👍🏻 no noise issues, very considerate neighbours.
Disliked Nothing really! It’s the perfect hybrid between a big holiday park and a campsite. Has that freedom for the kids to run around bare foot safely with the extras on site.
