What customers say
This is a very family-focused site with a vast range of activities, swimming pools, entertainment, and on-site amenities. Staff are frequently described as friendly and helpful. Facilities, including toilets and showers, are generally reported as clean, though some visitors noted they are showing signs of age and could benefit from upgrades. Pitches are mainly gravel and can be uneven. While many found it excellent value and a great location for exploring, some disliked the booking system for pools and the cost of on-site extras.

Great Family Site (Not for quiet getaways!)
Electric gravel touring pitch
Liked Lots of on site activities and a good set of amenities. Absolutely brilliant for families with a choice of swimming pools, arcade, entertainment etc.
Food was good, priced as you'd expect and the on site shop (Nisa) was reasonable too.
Nice that the site is very dog friendly.
Even though it was very busy when we visited it didnt feel rammed and we could always find somewhere quieter to sit/eat etc
EHU points were close and water and waste nearby. Pitches well serviced.
Good location if you want to go out and explore the area.
There's a bus down to the beach otherwise you're looking at £14 for a day parking (£7 if you just do the morning) Don't try to walk from the site to the beach, you will get squashed on the main road!
Disliked This is a very family focused site and we went in the school holidays (met family there) so the negatives will mostly reflect this, please bear this in mind!
Pitches are a good size but absolutely crammed in on the site. Any spare space is a pitch.
Gravel hardstand pitches are pretty much a car park. Some of the pitches further away from the amenities have some planting, but they are also closer to the plastic chair graveyard/dumping area and much further from the shop, pool etc.
The lodges are far nicer laid out but also incredibly expensive.
Shower block fine, but be aware that the showers are push button and the button gives approx 3 seconds of water. You need to hold it in continuously to shower. Not suitable for anyone with mobility issues (I do not know if they have a disabled shower)
The pub at the bottom of the site is nice but it is still part of the site so the menus are very similar. Don't assume this is a better/posher experience. It does have a play park and outside seating.
Wasps! The site could do with investing in some fake hives to keep the wasps away, they were a complete pest.
Seagulls! The site could do with some 'don't feed the seagulls' signs. People were and thats not a good thing.
Noise. The main entertainment ends quite early so you will get a relatively peaceful night, but this is a family site and we found it quite a noisy site because of this.
General site etiquette and other guests - if you're used to little local sites or adult only sites this place probably isn't for you. But if you want lots for kids to do whilst you chill out at the pool or watch TV in your tent then it's going to be spot on.

From the manager: Thank you so much for your detailed review. We're delighted you enjoyed the wide range of amenities and activities, and found the site well-equipped for both families and furry companions. It's great to hear that, even during peak season, you were able to find quieter spots to relax.
We appreciate your constructive feedback about the pitch layout, showers, and general site atmosphere during school holidays. Your insights are really helpful as we continue improving the experience for all guests. We'll definitely take the wasp and seagull suggestions onboard too.
Thanks again for sharing your experience — we’re glad you found plenty to enjoy, and we hope to welcome you back in future, perhaps outside the busier season.
Best wishes

The best campsite, great value for money, would recommend, near beach
Fully-serviced gravel touring pitch
Liked I stayed here with my 2 girls, I decided to go on a road trip from Essex, to Bristol, Devon and all the way to Cornwall. We loved it here so much we had to return on our travels back home. Amazing staff, the facilities were great, there was so much to do for my girls. Steve was fantastic, as a single mum I find towing the caravan and pitching a little daunting. Steve was fantastic on arrival he explained where my pitch was, including where all the facilities were. When leaving again Chris was so lovely I mentioned about coming back as the girls loved it so much, his line of work was above and beyond what a great asset you have their. When it come to booking the activities Aiden and Ben were fantastic.
Disliked The only thing I didn't like was getting up early to book swimming. If there was a booking system like the other activities it would be much better.

Not for us due to the pitch surroundings.
Fully-serviced gravel touring pitch
Liked Plenty of facilities on site, places to eat, bars, shop.
Disliked Pitches resembled a car park. Very dusty especially with other people speeding up and down the pitch area. We had a fully serviced pitch which had hedges defining its boundaries, but many other pitches didn't so they were very close together. No record of our booking on arrival, when they checked not been confirmed even though we booked and paid through Pitch up. Not sure who was at fault but very distressing as they had to struggle to find us a pitch! Unable to use the swimming pool for the whole weekend as nowhere in our welcome pack did it explain you needed to book tickets at reception! When we did try we were amazed to see people returning tickets from the previous day unused, so selfishly they took them just in case, and by doing so deprived other people a chance!!
Also, paid for the wifi but still kept dropping out so not worth the money in our opinion.
