Fully-serviced gravel touring pitch
Liked This is a lovely site...we arrived alot earlier then before the 2pm check in time(10:20) and by 11:30 we were in our pitch .. people in the reception are amazing..so friendly, you have to wear a wrist band on this site,. Kids got through so many as they pulled them too tight and going to get a fresh new one wasn't never a problem.
Touring pitches are gravel so you'll need screw in pegs what we use with our drill.
Outdoor pool was so lovely, how ever it got very busy and didn't feel as though the young lifeguards were doing there jobs properly to keep the public safe.
Outdoor water slide were the highlight for our children...we didn't use the entertainment but the venue is lovely as we used it for hot drinks.
Perfect spa shop on site...good selection...a little bit pricey so would recommend Tesco or Lidl in Ilfracombe.
Showers block in arrival were beautiful...as time went on the cleaning staff were very few and far between so stagnant water was a problem in the showers and the drainage system is horrendous. I used the disabled shower for my children towards the end of our stay as they seemed to drain away the water better.
Lots to do in site, bowling, soft play , amusements, high ropes, climbing wall...could do with a better children's play park. And the wave rider...all these activities are a extra cost that you have to book through a QR code which is given upon arrival...this was a great idea.
Disliked Touring pitches could do with a grassy area...no where for dogs to lie comfortably unless owners take a blankets or outdoor carpet...
We aren't dog owners but this is what we seen
Drainage on fully serviced pitches needs attention... on draining our grey waste water carriers down the drains it literally runs under the caravan and as the gravel doesn't soak up the water it runs and goes into awnings and soaks the carpets

Clean good facilities good pitch but…
Fully-serviced gravel touring pitch
Liked Clean good facilities good pitch but hard ground to peg on the pools were ok but more suitable for little children fishing was good.
Disliked The gravel was hard to put pegs in for the awning a bit of a walk to amenities my son enjoyed fishing but a bigger variety of fish would have been good. The drinks at the bar were expensive. the activities you had to pay more for which you already pay a lot to stay. you couldn’t walk safely to the beach and the cost of parking was ridicules

Prefer smaller family run sites, but that just our preference
Electric gravel touring pitch
Liked Locality to Woolacombe beach. Had all amenities on site
Disliked Felt more set up for statics. Camping and touring was one little section and and mostly gravel, so difficult to peg out trailer tent out. Showers were freezing! Not idea after a day surfing and with a 6 year old

Our second year in a row…
Electric gravel touring pitch
Liked Our second year in a row and 4th time in total and as always a brilliant stay. Under new ownership now with vale and seems to have a much more fun feel to it than under verdant. Staff all very friendly and helpful. The site is very clean and seems to be much better kept. No booking system and being able to stay for as long as you please in the pools is a massive positive they have brought in as you can relax and not be clock watching all the time. Touring shower and pot wash stations all worked. They arnt world beating but was always clean and functional.
Disliked Swapping the onsite shop from nisa to spar. Selection of products nowhere near as good and also has halved in size.

Would never visit a Vale site again, ever!
Fully-serviced gravel touring pitch
Liked Proximity to Woolacombe.
Disliked Would never stay here again after a serious safeguarding incident that involved a member of park staff and my child. The olive were called and the park did nothing to support my child or family. They have been shocking! The organisations response to my formal complaint has demonstrated to me that they have no regard for safeguarding and that comes from the highest levels of the organisation. Avoid if you have children!

We will not be returning
Fully-serviced gravel touring pitch
Liked Weather and shop was well stocked
Disliked We had Travellers on our site for the first five days, so we were hesitant to leave our caravan and awning with belongings inside.
My friend Son also had an incident with a member of staff at the park. The member of staff was an adult and kicked my friend Son in the park. We run to get help at the old Mill pub and none of the staff would help or ring the police.
It was absolutely shocking to be honest and we will not be returning back to this site again.
