What customers say
This quiet, spacious campsite offers a friendly welcome and is well-located for exploring Beer, Sidmouth, and the Donkey Sanctuary, with many guests enjoying the on-site golf driving range. Pitches are generally large and flat, with some noting the rural setting is enhanced by the sound of donkeys. While facilities are considered basic but adequate and clean by many, some guests mentioned a walk to the main toilet block and occasional issues with water pressure or cleanliness, which the manager has noted for improvement. The relaxed atmosphere and value for money are frequently highlighted, with many expressing a desire to return.

Great location. Large pitch. Friendly.
Electric optional grass tent pitch
Liked A lovely site where we felt welcomed. Great location for easy access to many local towns which we visited. Great pub a short drive away. Rural location makes it quiet (except for the occasional donkey chat) The driving range was able to be used cheaply and throughout the day and evening which was a particular hit with my teenage son.

We had a wonderful time and thank you for having us.
Electric optional grass motorhome pitch
Liked Wonderful campsite really enjoyed ourselves collecting rouge golf balls and creating memories with the kids and dogs. We had a lovely fire in the evening a great pitch spot. The owner Malcolm was very welcoming and knowledgeable. Easy to find location perfect to visit the donkey sanctuary and 20 minute walk to the sea. Perfect location. Facilities were clean and suitable for all your needs.

Don’t be put off whilst driving in, it’s a lovely flat small site.

Liked The owner and staff were lovely and very friendly.
The actual campsite itself was very quiet and well kept.
Lovely walk into town, the hill back up was a bit of a killer but still enjoyable.
Great value for money and we will be back.
Disliked The toilet block was okay but could have just done with being cleaned once a day due to the nesting birds.
Small details such as a sweep up of the outdoor kitchen area and removal of the old broken chair outside would be worth while.
A bench would be great there to use whilst waiting for others.

Great
Electric optional grass tent pitch
Liked Super friendly and helpful owner. I fell off my bike and badly hurt my ankle in Sidmouth - he kindly offered to pick me and my bike up from the bottom of the very steep hill up to the campsite, a lifesaver.
Nice camping grounds, felt like a luxury to be pitching our tents on a putting green!
