Electric gravel touring pitch
Liked: Everything about the site. The pitches were spacious and well maintained. The shower block was first rate, plenty of spacious hot showers always spotlessly clean.
The added facilities of a restaurant and a bar, featuring free nightly entertainment, and a variety of vendors coming on site with things such as fish & chips makes this one of the best sites we have ever stayed at.
Disliked: Nothing but if I’m super critical there could be better facilities for recycling your waste. At the moment the only option is to recycle glass.
Recommend to friends Visit again
From the manager: Glad everything went well for you whilst here. At present we do not need to separate our waste - with the exception of the glass- as it all goes to a renewable energy plant. It does feel strange even to us as we always had to separate it out before. Things are changing again in 2025 and 2027 so we'll have to alter our services again. That's progress. See you again hopefully in 2025.

From the manager: We do not have too much lighting on the park as people have said they don't like bright lights shining into their caravans. I will try and find out where you were so I can check nothing has gone wrong with the lighting in the area but I've not had any other comments.

Liked: Great reception staff, well organised site. Very clean with plenty of hot water for showers and washing. Good food options on site and pleasant bar.
Disliked: Very noisy from main road all day and night. Helicopter landing site next door (but not in night).
Recommend to friends Visit again
From the manager: Sorry you were disturbed by any road noise and the helicopter landing which always gets people talking. If you do come again please let us know about your issues this time around and we'll do all we can to make sure your sited a bit further into the park. You should find that a quieter area. Thank you for your comments on how clean and well organised everything is. I'll make sure all the team here know you appreciated all their efforts.

Liked: This was our 3rd stay here, this site is so cleaned and friendly, all the staff are second to none they are so helpful and friendly. Toilets and showers are so clean and fresh no matter when you them, poppy's cafe/restaurant is very reasonable and very good food, Sunday roast is a must.. Gordon's bar is OK prices are very reasonable,
My only dislike which is no fault of the site, the Internet is so poor and £11 for 7 days is very expensive when it's impossible to use,
Also I was really annoyed by dryer in laundry room, paid £6 for washing machine and £6 for dryer, but as l didn't want t shirts creased to much and shrink I opened the door to check they had been in for around twenty five minutes I closed the door and it wouldn't restart unless l put another £6 so ended up packing damp washing, so was far from impressed, but other then that a fabulous site...

From the manager: We are sorry you had a problem with the dryer but it does clearly state to choose the right programme and not to open the door until it has finished. These are heat sensitive dryers that will switch off once the load is dry. All dryers are different so again sorry you had a problem this time. We will look into the charges made for the wifi but as you know it is not provided by the park but an outside organisation. Hopefully next time it will be a better experience.

Liked: Clean facilities
Disliked: Being asked to mop the floor. CCTV next to my pitch. Having to pay extra for WiFi.
Recommend to friends Visit again
From the manager: You have stated that you liked the cleanliness of the facilities which is lovely to hear. Part of the reason they are so clean and tidy is that in addition to our team members working hard to maintain high standards we provide a mop and bucket in the shower areas as guests have asked for this so that they can mop the floor before or after using the facilities. It's not nice to walk on a sopping wet floor from the previous occupant so most guests like to give it a little mop out once they've finished in the shower. Just to clarify for you that whist you may see CCTV cameras near you, they are not looking directly into your personal space. They are only viewing and recording events on the public areas of the park.
