Liked: Fantastic campsite, nice and flat, made up of two big open fields - great for both tents and vans. Our pitch number was given to us before arrival. The showers were nice and hot and the washing up facilities were great. The site was within walking distance to a bus stop which connected to Ilfracombe and Woolacombe. The campsite owners were incredibly helpful when we contacted them about an enquiry. Would definitely recommend a stay here!
Disliked: No hand drying facilities in the toilets Can hear the noise of traffic on the road nearby throughout the night

Liked: Location and access from the main road was great (no narrow country lanes). Perfect for Ilfracombe and Woolacombe and an InstaVolt fast car charger was 6 miles away in Braunton. Nice site with pitches along the two sides only giving plenty of space for the children to play. Very respectful campers with no noise at all after 10pm and this was August! Showers and toilets were good although pressure was affected when more than one shower was in use. More hooks would have been useful. Fortunately we were allocated a corner pitch at the end of the row which was perfect for us having SEN children. Water point on pitch was very handy. Non electric field was brilliant for going into for games and dog play! Owners left us to it although for a five night stay I thought I would have met them at least once. Very good price because they don’t charge per child or per dog or per gazebo :) Three toilets and three showers for ladies - one toilet was very big with its own sink which was perfect for us as my autistic daughter won’t go in alone. A family we met there left their camper on site and got the bus everywhere so that’s good for those who don’t want to move their van every day! Large pub outside site, didn’t go in but handy for holiday makers. Lidl just 3 miles away, Tesco 6 miles. National Trust Arlington Court carriage museum 11 miles away and well visiting! Braunton Burrows 8 miles away with amazing walks and sand dunes from the Sandy Lane car park (£2.50 all day with cafe). If you don’t mind walking you can get to Saunton Sands beach. Woolacombe beach was amazing but car park was £12 for the day (accepts card). Good beach shops and takeaway options. Dogs allowed on beach (designated part), life guards on duty too. Very good e-mail communication prior to and during our stay. Had a lovely time and will definitely return.
Disliked: Turning out of the site had very poor visibility and was onto a fast road - a mirror in the hedge opposite would have been good. I would have liked to meet the owners at some point - my husband saw them cleaning the toilets each day but I must have missed them. The field doesn’t have any views which is something I like when sitting outside chilling but that wouldn’t stop me returning! Push button showers but I bought the gadget off Amazon that holds the button in. Nothing to dry hands on.

Liked: Feeling of remoteness but close to Ilfracombe. Hot showers.
Disliked: Someone was shooting in a field, near us which terrified one of my dogs.

Liked: The campsite was a lovely basic campsite , with all you needed for a base to explore from . The bathrooms were well kept and the showers were hot with amazing pressure, that you could wash your hair with, without having to keep pushing the button . It had a wash up area and waste deposit too . There was loads of room in the middle for kids to play and a separate dog walking area. They had 40 pitches in total , but it felt quite empty , as they were all around the edge , which was nice . The campsite was on a very busy road so if you wanted to leave you couldn’t walk out , you had to take the car. There was loads to do in the local area with some amazing crabbing spots , beaches and restaurants . Also a few big supermarket close by for essential. Would definitely stay here again as a base to explore from .
Disliked: Nothing that wouldn’t stop us returning , but the walk to the toilet from the second field in the night is long and there was no lights, showing the gate entrance , if you forgot your torch , not an issue if you have a portable toilet of your own , which you could empty down by the shower blocks .

Liked: We had a great time camping at little shelfin farm campsite. This was our first time camping and the site didn’t disappoint. It was clean and tidy and seemed to be very popular especially for families. We will definitely book again, but hopefully next time minus the storm which happened to pass through that particular weekend 🙈
