Peaceful, well kept campsite in a beautiful location.
Electric optional grass pitch
Liked Beautifully maintained, peaceful little campsite. Clean showers and toilets, a games room with a pool table, a few books and board games as well as a charging point for phones etc in a lockable safe. The friendly reception has a small shop stocking everything you could possibly have forgotten when camping. The site was quite full when we stayed, but it is so well layed out everyone gets a nice private spot. There are anpr barriers which gave extra peace of mind too. Highly recommend for adults wanting a quiet, relaxed break in a beautiful location.

Make sure you book a handstand so no one can walk across your pitch..
Electric optional grass pitch
Liked Facilities were lovely and staff great.
Disliked Where we were pitched in the middle.
Everyone walked right next to us to get to the toilet block. Very little privacy so need windbreaks etc to mark some territory.

From the manager: Many thanks for taking the time to leave us a review. With regards to a path way, sadly people will always take the quickest route even if it means passing some ones pitch. We are sorry that this spoilt your stay with us however we are disappointed that you didn't come and speak to us where we could have looked for a different pitch for you. Instead you decided to just leave us a review. Best wishes from Leigh and David.
We have no hesitation in recommending Barley Meadow to other campers.
Electric optional hardstanding and grass touring pitch
Liked Well kept site with very clean facilities and very helpful owners. Well located for exploring the area. Appreciated the absence of children and the discerning nature of the other campers.
Disliked The occasional loud traffic noise from the adjacent road. Occasionally there was a bit of a queue for the toilets and showers at popular times or when the site was full.

From the manager: Many thanks Ian for taking the time to leave us a kind review. We are pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us. With regards to the road, this gives our guest very easy access to the site. We are also in the countryside so we do have lots of farmers working hard who pass by in big tractors. We can also be the diversion for the A30 and during your stay was the week most of the schools broke up. This caused the A30 to be very busy and sadly a few accidents. Best wishes from Leigh and David.
