Enjoyed our stay, would stay again. Great campsite in a great location
Electric optional grass campervan, tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked The facilities were very good and kept very clean. Loved the extra touch of the hairdryers & straighteners in the ladies changing rooms. Everything seemed to have been covered from the washing up liquid for washing up, wetsuit washing & drying area and BBQ washing area and the labels & Pens for labelling up the ice packs to go in the free to use freezers.
Pitches were nice and big.
The location was great, 5 minute walk into the village to The Thatch pub and shops or 5 minutes in another direction to The Manor House Inn - both great pubs. Couple of cafes/restaurant to eat in as well as the pubs, but we didn’t get to try those.
We were able to pay an extra £5 for a later check out which worked well for us so we didn’t have to be up and packed up so early and managed to get another walk down to the beach which was only a short walk away.
The National Trust cafe was also very nice and not far from the beach.
Campsite was nice and quiet.
Disliked Not so much a dislike and was totally understandable for environmental reasons - the washing up water was cold or luke warm. I just heated up some water at the tent and took it down to the washing up station when I had a greasy pan.

From the manager: Thanks Teresa. It was a pleasure to see you. I will increase the temperature of the washup water at busy times when the boilers are struggling. Im grateful for the heads up. Stu.
Great for kids, surfers etc
Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Close enough to coast
Disliked Small pitches, rather crowded

From the manager: Dear Jan. I am sorry that we didn't reach your expectations on this occasion. It is our busiest time of the year with family holidays and great weather. Solo female campers usually rate our quiet safe site and nice clean facilities. However, I understand that camping amongst family groups in high season is a different thing. I hope you are able to visit again out of school holidays when there is a different vibe. All the best for now. Stu.
Amazing location, super chilled vibe, great…

Liked Amazing location, super chilled vibe, great level pitch.

From the manager: Thanks Richard. I appreciate your private feedback which is helping me improve the facilities. I am actually adding (to the men's showers) the same changing cubicles that I did last winter in the ladies and don't forget to use the "family" showers if you want that extra privacy at any time. Regards and I hope to see you another time soon. Stu.

Liked Location
Disliked Very cramped campsite - had to listen whilst trying to get some sleep to a party of Londoners loudly enjoying themselves without thought or consideration to anyone else until 11pm (at the earliest) cars blocking entrances to pitches , surly of the surliest teenager at reception. Wi-Fi unusable due to lack of capacity.

From the manager: Dear Adam. Thank you for your stay. I wanted you to know that you have been heard and I will take action on the issues you raised. In slight mitigation, it is the busiest week in August (and the WiFi is free) But that is no excuse. I hear you. We can do better. Regards. Stu.
Great site, respectful, good location.
Electric optional grass campervan or trailer tent pitch (maximum 6 metres)
Liked Quite, no dogs, no music. Great showers and facilities. Great location.

We would stay here again if we went to Croyde.
Electric optional grass tent pitch
Liked The toilet/shower block and washing up area is nice and very well equipped and clean.
Only £5 for 12pm check out.
Close to Croyde bay and Baggy point.
Friendly and helpful staff
Disliked Right on the main road so could hear traffic and theres a tree with a lot of birds in close by, but that only effected us one morning, and the site can't do anything about that.
Would have been nice to have a space for the kids to play but its not a massive site so they dont have space. Again nothing they can do about that and we spent most of our time at the beach anyway where there is plenty of space.

From the manager: Thanks Hannah. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay. We do have a new area now for kids to play. It's not yet on the map. I can also recommend a pitch further in next time so you are away from the road. See you another time soon. Stu.
