  • Rural campsite with spectacular views, stargazing and gorgeous sunsets
  • Under 30 minutes’ drive from Boscastle, Padstow, Polzeath and Tintagel
  • Walking distance from local pub, café and the Camel Trail cycle route
You won't find bright lights or a noisy clubhouse at Camp De Lank – just peace, quiet and laidback, friendly vibes. This grassy site in Cornwall is all about the simple pleasures of outdoor life: stargazing, barbecuing and reconnecting with nature. Camp De Lank is a peaceful place where family and friends can reconnect, unwind and explore some of Cornwall’s most celebrated spots. Longstanding locals Kaya and her grandparents Jacqui and Jeff all look forward to welcoming you and giving tips on the best things to do in the local area. This 4.5-acre site has pitches with sweeping views over the local countryside, making Camp De Lank a spectacular place to be at sunrise and sunset. Facilities include modern and well-maintained toilets and showers, plus nifty extras like ice pack freezing and a battery pack charging service. Hand-made Cornish cocktails are delivered to the site once a week – get those pre-orders in to avoid missing out. Camp De Lank is in the small hamlet of Lank, two miles from the edge of Bodmin Moor and half a mile from the start of the popular Camel Trail bike route. Head to the latter to set out along 18 flat, scenic and traffic-free miles, or stick closer to base and pick up drinks and snacks at an off-grid cyclists' café (10 minutes' walk).

Liked: Loved this place! Beautiful quiet little campsite, owner very helpful with suggestions of where to eat, dog walking area on site, also option of fire pit with kindling and logs which we had and it was lovely! Sat out watching sun go down then star gazing- just lovely! Toilets and shower block (all lovely and clean and well stocked ) they have 2 lovely clamping pods with their own cooking facilities and benches which look fab! Ooh nearly forgot cocktail list to order from Delivered promptly to our tent! No rush to leave in the morning as check out not till 11.30! Thankyou guys we had a lovely time! We will be back for sure!

Non-electric grass tent, campervan or trailer tent pitch

Liked: The location is wonderful. Beautiful views, deep in the countryside, no light pollution at all. The location was quiet, there was only on other pitch occupied at the time I went in June. There were not many pitches anyway so it will never be crowded. The site is in a very large field which is very well kept. The toilets and the showers are purpose built and are lovely and clean and well appointed. I loved it there. It was my first ever campsite in my new campervan. I toured Cornwall for 9 days and it was the best of the four sites I stayed at. I will definitely stay there again. I loved it.

Disliked: I really don't think there is anything to dislike.

Non-electric grass tent, campervan or trailer tent pitch

Liked: Very well kept site Extremely peaceful We played some ball and had a bbq Was 3 other couples all very friendly and quiet Perfect place to switch off, listen to the birds and if you’re lucky like we were catch the sunset over uninterrupted countryside The reason we picked this site was due to its location so close to Old Hill Bike Park and it was the perfect way to relax before a day on the trails

Liked: Lovely owners, fantastic views and great toilet and shower facilities - cleanest I've ever seen on a site! The owners run their own cocktail business and you could order them on request on site to be delivered to your pitch! A great little niche touch to the camping experience.

Local attractions

Feeling thirsty? Get set for very mellow times at Camel Valley Vineyard (15 minutes' drive/an hour by bike via the Camel Trail), where tours, tastings and wine by the glass (or bottle) are available for fans of English red, white and sparkling wine. Not that you'll want to be sampling their wares on an empty stomach – but there are plenty of foodie spots in Wadebridge (20 minutes), Padstow (30 minutes) and Polzeath (30 minutes) to see to that… As well as the Camel Trail, popular biking spots include Cardinham Woods (20 minutes) on the southern edge of Bodmin Moor and Old Hill Bike Park (10 minutes), a family-oriented set of circuits with all-weather trails ranging from green (balance bikes suitable) through to black (experienced riders only). If horseback travel's the thing, you're also just over two miles from Hallagenna Riding, an equestrian centre with activities for all abilities. Handily, Camp De Lank is within an easy half-hour drive of the Eden Project, where huge tropical domes will take you off to all sorts of far-flung habitats.
